Yea look at that tentative agreement if they keep medical and retirement the same. They probably give a raise close to inflation or up to inflation probably on a 3 year deal.
Medical and retirement are huge complaints by workers.

Another thing is they hire a lot of ppl as supplemental employees and they can keep you on that status for 2 yrs until they finally decide to make you full time. I'm glad I started as a full time employee, but it's messed up how they do all their employees

Scabbing will ensure y'all don't get shyt
A woman was on Facebook talkin about "my son got bills" which I understand, but with more than half of the plant in that same predicament, that would be enough of a workforce to keep the plant afloat and would definitely guarantee we won't get shyt. Hell, might even get us replaced permanently

It hits different depending on your industry.

I used to work for a major union in NYC that represented the doormen, porters, and commercial cleaners. We had a strike in one of our buildings and out of a total of 30 staff, 2 scabbed.

Both of 'em go caught around the corner after their shift (long after the demonstrations were done for the day) and got their ass beat tf up by their coworkers. They didn't join the picket line the next day, but they didn't come in to work either. Packages got fukked up. Someone's dog shyt in the elevator and no one cleaned it up so the residents blew up the call line for them to send someone. We watched crackheads walk up in the building.

Strike lasted 4 days. Brehs went from $10/hour to $23/hour.

It all depends on how hard you're willing to fight for the shyt. Don't get me started on how ugly it gets with the construction unions. Them nikkas get on demon time for theirs.

Yea that’s how they keep them employees mad at each other. Not treated like equal so what it’s going to cause is friction cause some people are going to be on that new contract and others on the old contract terms. Then I bet those new employeees still pay union dues without representation.

Reached an tentative agreement already smh

New contract just gotta be bullshyt. Union and the company probably screwed the workers over. Haven't even released details of the new contract. Already got workers saying they gonna vote "no"
At the ratification meeting throw a chair like in Boondocks to set it off.

They just released the details. One "key" detail is they removed marijuana from random testing and return from work testing:mjlol:

I don't smoke, but ok:heh:

$6,000 ratification bonus and 7% raise upon ratification. A few GWI of 4% over the length of the contract, nightshift premium increased(I work nights)

Overall, looks like workers ain't really pleased about the contract. It still has to be voted on.

The ppl at my job ain't the smartest. I bet some ppl come to work smelling like weed, not realizing the contract ain't been voted on yet. Gonna get they ass sent straight to medical smh

Last night, everybody was excited about potentially walking out. I get home and get a text from UAW saying that an agreement was reached. I almost wished they temporarily extended the current contract and continue with negotiations.

With the current climate of inflation, they know ppl got car payments and/or mortgages, so they know ppl don't want to miss any substantial amount of work, regardless of how underpaid the workers feel they are.
Damn, they do us workers so Dirty,Man.

Im in nursing ,and not to long had to deal with getting underpaid and the covid F@ckery...

Nygga, I WISH I could go on strike....but the way this child support working, MY ass would vet struck! Lol

Most definitely. All we been hearing in meeting throughout the year was "record profits" yet it don't reflect in our wages of the lil bullshyt bonuses we get every quarter. I don't miss any work, can set up machines, work a gang of overtime, and I run good parts, yet my bonus this past quarter was $390:hhh:

I feel you. Quarterly bonus ain't bad, though. For record profits, they should be upping that a couple percentage points as a showing of good faith to their employees. I got Union stories for days about what Union members are willing to do for those couple of percentage points lmaoooo
