You only need to play decent defense as a perimeter player, offense is more important. The bigs are defensive anchors for a reason

Kawhi is every bit as valuable as them cause of his defense. You should have used another defensive player for that example

Defense is half of the game of basketball. He's the reigning DPOY of course his defensive skill is gonna get heavy praise

With so many elite scorers/wing players in the league today being able to dominate defensively on the perimeter and shut your man down night in and night out is something to appreciate

Not too mention the offense and easy buckets he creates off steals.

When you can do shyt like this you elite. Kawhi a gamechanger on both ends his defense has to be respected
