So we’re cool when LeBron inevitably makes his voltron squad this summer right?

That's the problem though.

Because Bron refuses to play in a system, he needs an inordinate amount of talent around him to be able to win chips. His approach to the game creates the demand for a superteam.

Golden State's squad won their first chip (2015) with young players they drafted and a rock-solid system.

I can't defend the KD move or anything beyond that. If Russell Westbrook had even 20% more basketball IQ and court vision, OKC was poised to win a chip or two with that roster they drafted.

What I can say though is a system, deferring to a decent coach, and actually practicing with your teammates can yield extraordinary results.

We're seeing that right now with the way the Celtics are playing. :manny:

So you would rather rich white owners and GMs create teams, make trades and draft rather than black players using their power and influence to do what they want :ehh:

No one has gone thru the LeBron emotional rollercoaster more than me. I went from not liking him to flat out hating him, now I just dont care what happens with his care. If he wins a ring this year... :yeshrug: . If he tears his ACL tomorrow night :yeshrug:

But here's the thing that a lot of yall dont seem to understand...

I'll be the first time admit that hes the best player on the planet. That's unquestionable at this point. But I think it's kinda to a fault at this point in his career. Dude is uncoachable. And I'm not sure if that's bad or good. He's not a Ricky Davis type uncoachable. Dude wouldn't allow himself to be put in a system where, not only the ball moves but the players move. Actually there's only three teams in the league that move the ball as well as have the players move. As great as he is with the ball in his hands, I never thought he maximized his potential playing off the ball.

And regardless of where he goes, and he's allow to go wherever he wants, in year 16, will he allow himself to play in an actual system or will he be the system again? Being the system makes his numbers look good but that's really about it. He can go to Philly and play with Simmons and Joel. Hell, he can go to DC and play with Wall and Beal but if the style of play is the same as it's been since he's gone back to Cleveland, it will be the same result. Him dribbling to kick it out to an inconsistent 3 and D guy.

The thing that makes GS look this good isn't only the talent but all 14 dudes have bought in and decided to play the way the coach wants them to play. If LeBron can't do that then what would be the point of leaving Cleveland?

I don't get what's so hard about people admitting LeBron wanting the easiest path to a ring by joining Miami, I acknowledge that and I like LeBron nor do I blame him for doing so. LeBron said himself in the decision telecast that he took his talents to South Beach because it gives him the best chance to win.

In this fall... this is very tough... in this fall I'm going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat. I feel like it's going to give me the best opportunity to win and to win for multiple years, and not only just to win in the regular season or just to win five games in a row or three games in a row, I want to be able to win championships. And I feel like I can compete down there.

Can't we fukk with LeBron while admitting what he and KD did was virtually the same thing? :why:
If LeBron went to Boston it's the same thing.

Spurs will take either randle or inhram + filler

Leaving even more trade assets (kuzma/lonzo/heart) 1 may be included in trade along w inram or randle..

Either way the pieces are there

So LeBron and KD didn't put themselves into what they thought was the best position to win championships? :jbhmm:

nikkas swear it's the worst thing in the world. LeBron got tired of losing. KD got tired of losing. And they both decided to team up with some dudes that gave them a better chance of winning. How can anyone fault them for that?
