So were potentially close to an AI takeover (in the year 2027)?

Your talking as if technology doesn't compound rapidly?
Never said it did

You guys are just actung like AI is new. It’s new to YOU, but AI has been around.

No shyt, they have been working towards AGI for decades before this.. thats what you nikkas are missing. Yes they are getting closer but no closer than whats already predicted.

IF it already exists, in which I doubt, it’s hidden and requires a certain infrastructure that will need to be safely created at scale for whatever they intend to use it for. Yes, technology advances quickly but does the infrastructure?

I don’t think that does as fast. Which is why certain things stall out or get put on the back burner until the tech catches up.

The bigger issue is that EVEN IF AIG does take until 2030 (like you admitted people have talked about) instead of 2027… the exponential growth of AI and therefore the instability in the job market and how we function as a society will GREATLY and VASTLY change how we function as a society compared to nearly every other time in human history… and we aren’t ready or prepared for it and just have to hope that the powers that be are putting “us” in a good position

There are people already coming out saying that within the next couple years nearly 50% of entry level white collar jobs will be eliminated and given to AI

I actually agree with this

America isn’t #1 in a lot of shyt, who cares.

Then you cross that bridge when you get there

What do you suggest we do about it until then? All learn LLM and switch our entire lives to AI?

A lot of this shyt is wait and see what happens and if things will actually go as planned/predicted, or if there will be a change and turn.

Corporations are jumping on this AI bandwagon as a faddish way to make money and cut workers. Thats because they are shytty humans, not because of AI.

“AI” is a fukking tool. AGI is something else.. a programmable worker that can imitate thinking. These dudes just want any excuse to not pay for the labor.

When AGI comes, hopefully it will be in a monitored and responsible way/setting with safe guards in place and specific policies in place for whatever can be predicted, but until then who knows
