I personally don't care, but he's killing his own career, and thats my point.

but this "he doesn't want to be an industry sheep" shyt is BS. If he doesn't want to play the industry game and wants to be all him then why does everyone of his singles have a feature?

He wants to play both sides yet he's failing on both

Good point

He should go the street route and punch drake in his face lol (im not being sarcastic)

Drake mocked him with the "trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers"

Hes daring meek to prove that tough guy sh*t

Let me tell you something. Having Ghostwriters is a massive sin in hiphop, but its common knowledge when your in the studio together, your ideas mesh and sometimes another nikka could help our with a few lines or even the hook. But to have someone WRITE your shyt and RECORD a REFERENCE TRACK so you can just mimick the flow and pass it off as your own is straight down disgusting.

I am amazed how no one is talking about that.
It's had me like :mindblown: this whole time. Like I'm not trying to defend meek and anybody can check my post history I don't diss drake ever and I don't ever talk about meek at all never have but how can drake do this and no one on a hip hop site care :mindblown:. :mindblown::mindblown:

the thing is, those older dudes actually have some fukkin integrity. Even Nas did an interview where he said that he saw Will SMith write getting jiggy with it(I think it was that song) when we all know that Nas did it.
They from an era where they aren't gonna try to shyt on the next dude for some 5 minute props.

If ALL the ghostwriters in hiphop actually came forward EVERYONE'S "list" would be fukked up. But as much fukkery that has gone down in this genre most dudes actually have some fukkin intergrity about their business and arrangements. Whereas these new dudes clearly have NONE.(and its more than just ghostwriting, dudes nowadays have no "code")

I've been a huge dead prez fan for years, beyond even the music. I have the utmost respect for them ,and prolly have bumped more dpz music in my life than Nas's shyt. But how anyone could even fathom that a cat who is arguably the greatest MC ever, who already had 2 commercially released albums out (one of which a large portion of the hip-hop community considers to be the greatest album of all-time), before dead prez ever even recorded a song together, would need to take lyrics or mic direction from them is just...........

I cant even put into words how ass-backwards that sounds on a level of just basic logic, let alone music.

That would be like Steph Curry taking shooting advice from the captain of a middle-school bball squad.

I know he's trolling, but i've actually seen internet comments suggesting that Nas aint the architect of his some of his rhymes. Like, why would a cat who is already a ghostwriter need help writing?

This and Queens Get The Money were probably rough cuts/demos Stic.Man and Jay Elec had for themselves that were unfinished, but submitted to Nas anyways since they wanted to give him their best work. Nas was probably influenced by how they already put a flow to the beat ... probably the same as Jay-Z's reaction to the Lucifer rough draft.

I really don't think they were references to the point of Drake/QM, but I do think there is a lot of influence in them.

This also makes me realize why Jay-Z worked with Kanye more than Just Blaze. I always thought that Just Blaze was technically the better producer and could do more with a sample ... but now I'm realizing if you buy a Just Blaze beat, you just get a raw beat. With Kanye, you get a beat, a concept, a vision for the track, a hook, and probably some rough bars on it.
