He should stay with Def Jam...
All three of his albums promoted under Def Jam debuted at number 1. All three were nominated for Grammy's ( three straight Best Rap Album nominations) All three were (in my opinion) promoted very well. He was shown the utmost of respect by the president of def jam last year. He still has access to any producer he wants to work with. Why move? Atlantic sucks, Sony would be more of the same, Rocnation couldn't do much more than Def Jam could. Interscope sucks.
With Def Jam he's been![]()

It's too bad, at this point I wish Nas could get that same type of shyt Jay has. But he doesn't tour nearly as often and I don't know if he could sell out those same arenas. His concerts have always been better in smaller venues in my opinion anyway. Nice to see his little resurgence though.
I don't see how you are all worried about Kanye's influence on Jay, but then you want him to go executive produce a Nas album. Unless you think he's going to go back to "Be" Kanye. Nas would sound awful on a lot of those WTT type beats sans something like No Church in the Wild which I think he would rip the same way he ripped Warrior Song.

Nas been touring like CRAZY since he signed to Def Jam. He basically took 2 years straight to tour domestically and internationally with Damien Marley, plus Rock The Bells, plus his recent tour with Lauryn Hill. He JUST sold out Radio City Music Hall and he headlines major arenas in Europe and abroad.
Kanye knows not to give Nas any WTT type dub step beats. The last two beats Kanye laced him with were FIRE. Nas doesn't necessarily need to be on Good Music though, it's all still Def Jam at the end of the day and Kanye has already said he'd do a Nas album at any time...
