And to be quite honest. Those people who spend more time in that place should be entitled. Everyone who visits this site and spends time here instead of on IGN's or Gamespots message boards supports this site. It's a basic slap in the face to people who considered this their favorite section on the coli and helped it grow since the great split from projectcovo. You've already had people claim that they bookmark the arcadium and that's it...I am sure they will be happy to know that a botched vote was taken place and they had no say in it...supporters just like you.

The problem here was moderation and if you want to throw my hat in there fine, my only defense is that I had no help.

I just don't see how it's a bad thing or how this hurts this forum, people that play games from the other forum will still post here it's just more organized now.. I can't speak for the poll but maybe they just felt it was atleast worth trying

really the console wars should be a single thread in the Arcadium vs having an actual forum for it.mods should just actually mod vs letting people run wild.

Let me preface this by stating I have been a regular poster in the Arcadium since my join here in June 2012 and lurked the old Rec Room for some time (SOHH never let me sign up ). With that said:

As @Liquid said when he's the only active mod here and has one hand tied behind his back when it comes to what he can and can't do to trouble posters it basically becomes a stalemate

Things were slightly better in the Arcadium moderation wise when @MightyHealthy and @diggy were active in here but they're not around as much anymore so there's only so much that can be done when there's a
ton of moderation reports but the offending posters can walk free as Liquid previously stated in here.

TSC needs it's own forum but that will have to wait till this gets sorted out w the Film Room/Arcadium(@CM Punk that green light push is coming )

Honestly to me it seems that the complainers are either partakers in the Console/Phone wars or people who used to post in the old Rec Room on SOHH. Everyone else that wanted the split is over in the Film Room happy.

I'm elated that I never have to step foot in the Arcadium to get to TSC now but I see why people like how it used to be with everything in one single forum.

It's a wait and see at this point. @cook and @Brooklynzson have always stated on here if they make a change and the users don't like it they'll admit they were wrong and change it back. So basically nature has to run its course for the time being

what the fukk are you even talking about? did I make the poll? did i ever say the poll was going to decide what happens? no, it was a regular member who proposed the idea and it spawned an interesting debate that caught the eye of me and brooklynzson. it wasn't the votes that convinced us, it was the valid arguments that were being made. we ended the poll early because we had already made up our minds, hence me saying from the beginning the poll is cool and all but its not going to make a difference unless it was an absolute blowout. we're a rapidly growing forum, probably one of the fastest growing on the internet. we looked around at a bunch of other forums and they all have gaming and movies separated. we both agreed that eventually it was something that we would have to do, so why not try it now. even @Liquid who has been adamantly against this split admitted that it was something that eventually would need to be done.

is there overlap with gamers and movie/tv show fans? yes of course, but theres overlap with sports and music fans too (honestly, who doesn't enjoy movies/tv?) you guys are being so closed minded about this entire situation, its no wonder theres an equal amount of people rejoicing about never having to step foot in this forum again as there is of you bytching about this. yall are acting like you just drove 30 minutes through traffic to go to a store and found out they dont have what you need so you have to drive all the way back across town. the movie forum is like 2 clicks of a mouse away. is a little more inconvenient? yeah sure, but theres a bunch of other posters on here who found it inconvenient that everything was lumped together and while you guys clearly dont give two shyts about anyone but yourselves, as an admin of the entire board we like to consider everyone when we make decisions.

if you're a fan of shows/movies then how can you honestly hate on a forum thats dedicated to that? the threads are already more active in that forum than they were in here because theres a bunch of people who basically gave up and said fukk it because they didnt want to deal with this forum. (all those mysterious votes you guys think i rigged the poll with ) and on the flip side, im starting to see a new movement here in the arcadium that seems exciting. tournaments, leagues...more community involvement with each other in regards to gaming. if you can't see the possibility of these two forums striving and improving while being independent then i'm sorry we disappointed you. by all means continue to be miserable and bytch and moan and pray for the entire thing to fail.

and despite all the negative comments and anger you all have thrown my way, this very moment i'm talking to developers and looking into the possibility of adding a feature where members can basically make their own forum that will display threads from whichever existing forums they choose. so its possible (no guarantees yet) that maybe eventually you'll be able to recreate the old arcadium and view all gaming and movie/tv shows in one listing again.

Ok...so I didn't know that it wasn't some official poll. Thats what it sounded like. So my bad on that. Regardless, it still should have been up to the people to choose. The people who own this site benefit just like the people who use it. Don't act like it's just one way. So you consult those individuals.

I still see the same nikkas. All you have done is made two Arcadiums. Every forum and subforum has a rhythm, inside jokes, etc. They have their own culture. If someone that doesn't usually visit that forum enters, yes....they will have to adjust. Do I get to demand that The Coliseum get split into a separate Basketball, Football, and Baseball forum just because I'm not use to the rhythm of that particular forum? No because if you did that, you'd just have 3 "The Coliseum" forums because the same people would post in those forums because it's all the same thing, sports. The same is going to happen here. You say this is the fastest growing site on the internet.....but you are making decisions based on what some other site does? shyt doesn't add up. Like I said....I've been apart of this since 2002 when it was still the other site. It's always been one site and no one ever had an issue.
