:jawalrus: My pops use to ride with Jigga and Co. heavy back on the day. Use to rock his whole swagger in the heyday of Roc, Hawaiian Shirts and all (to clarify my dad was in his 20's in the 90's). Had me and the brogod wearing Rocafella and everything.

I remember my ma asking him why he fukk with Jay-Z so heavy he replied.

"Shiit I just like to see black folk work together and get that paper :obama:."

:whew:When me and bro found that Streets is Watching DVD.

There was no nail in the coffin.
From 2000 to 2003, they grew further and further apart. Dame blowing all types of money, Jay telling Ty Ty to knockout Choke No Joke, Cam disrespecting Jay, Dame making him vp, Dame fukking up business with the connects by disrespecting partners, Jay working on things with def jam without informing Dame, them having different visions for the future of the Roc and the list goes on.

It was a pretty natural breakup from all we know. Jay and Dame are completely different in just about every regard.

When they put out The Blueprint 2.
Cause it didn't move units, produce hits, got bad reviews and wasn't followed by a classic. :snoop:

Be an over the top Jay-z stan and miss the point brehs.

It wasn't about moving units or having hits. It was the fact that is around the time when Jay-z lost himself and started the fighting with Dame :snoop:

I think when Dame made Cam'ron the vice president of Rocafella while Jay was out of town and without asking him was a huge reason, and exaggerated the conflict between Dame and Jay.
