Haven't seen it yet. From what I heard it sounds mad agenda-ish.
Making kids act out homosexuality is problematic, IMO. Hwood loves doing that.

A Family Matters reboot could really dive into some of the issues the original glanced over like Steve's parents hating him and him attaching himself to the Winslows as a surrogate family. But I think Family Matters would be way harder to do than Fresh Prince due to how insane and over the top it was. LIke, how would Stefan exist in a show like this? As Steve's brother?

They would just go with the modern problems of today . Probably some mental health, 2 personalities type shyt .

Edit- Or they can have him just be wack at first then level up on Laura and play her ass .

Dope. I love the characters, well casted.

But they reaaaally need to move away from the Carlton/Lisa/Will clash. Shyt is old at this point. Carlton being heated in the shadows damn near every episode is annoying. Shyt is predictable. I fear that they wont have many great storylines going forward and that theyll get our of control with the mango shyt. We'll see.

The problem is Family Matters was centered around steve's wackiness. Whole episodes are based on unbelievable situations with Steve's inventions. The Fresh Prince was centered around Will being a charming hood dude trying to fit in. One translates to the drama medium better than the other. I mean if you want to remake Family Matters it could possibly work as a Sci-fi remake. There you can still keep the wackiness of the show and still set up other elements like the steve o puppet and shyt

Yeah but that's mostly late Family Matters. The puppet is from the last two seasons. The jetpack and transformation chamber are from earlier in the show but people loved Stefan. I do agree that you need to stretch Family Matters and take away a ton of it in order for a dramatic reboot to work.Urkel as a character couldn't exist in a drama.

How do you handle it that as a parent? Cuz he's got a prescription for it and you took him to get it so what he is doing isn't illegal or deceptive and if he took it in pill form no one would say shyt. But you can't have him yacking it up as a line cuz you know what the next step is. So how do you punish him cuz you can't take away the drug he needs and you can't monitor him to make sure he is popping it in pill form

I just watched an original episode and it was Carltons stupid innocence coupled with his nerdy need for Will's acceptance that made him endearing to us.


We didn't stop fukking with Fonso until he got annoying in In The House.

I think I prefer Original Hilary better too as I could relate more to her *dont laugh* but Coco is cute af

Its not without it's flaws, I think Carlton is too over the top and unlikeable..

i think that’s part of what makes it good carlton is like a punchable villain. He steals a lot of the scenes imo but I’m only in 3 eps. Something about his hairline makes u loath him lol.
