The question you must ask yourself is could any of those defenses do what these Seahawks did under today's rules. Nobody could stop these Broncos this year. Even in their L's it was a matter of them pretty much running out of time. The Seahawks completely shut them down. During the game I kept saying "Are they really THIS good?". They made a very compelling case for the top spot.
