If your supporting cast is Damon Stoudamire and Mike Miller what do you expect:russ:

that's true, but you missed my point.it's stupid to talk about one player lacking playoff experience to prop up another guy who has literally never won a single playoff game

a lot of dudes on here are remedial as sh*t :russ:

I get what you are saying but it's still not right because there is a difference between a guy who played 12 playoff games and never won any games while Marc never played in the playoffs:yeshrug: , Personally I'd say Pau is around the range of top 10 big of all time I mean you are saying he was Carlos Boozer before he played with Kobe which I don't find true at all because if you swapped Pau on them Jazz teams they'd have better results:yeshrug:, if Rasheed Wallace is a top 5 PF to some people than Pau has to be around that range:yeshrug:

How much playoff did pau have before the lakers?

Yall boys literally dont know sh*t :russ:
Was in the playoffs three times and played a total of 12 games, Kobe stan lack of knowledge really shining bright here.

Averaged 20/6 on 49% , Marc not putting up that level of scoring.

We also have to take into account the way Pau scores...you can throw him the ball in the post and let him cook, with his array of moves he can get you 20+ damn near every game in his prime, and hit the open shot, and a very good passer. All things that fit Kobe's game perfectly, because even when Marc evolved (meaning Kobe would have to wait a couple more years) he didn't develop exactly into that type of offensive player.

Now like I said Pau never went far as a number one option, but as a number two he was damn near perfect : steady scorer in the post (crucial in the playoffs), low profile, very good passer and low-key could bring up the ball/go coast-to-coast if needed. All things that relieved Kobe, who could trust a guy who's been a league for some time and doesn't need to "grow" (and has dominated high-level Euro bball, which we know Kobe respects) but could still go Psycho without having another player demanding the ball.

Who knows what would've happened if the trade doesn't go down? But we can't dismiss Gasol like the same would've happened with any given player. Kobe had other inside players before (post-Shaq) and after, and we saw what happened. Sometimes one player (Pau) just really complements another player (Kobe) well. Doesn't mean that Pau is superstar (Malone, Webber, Garnett) status, it just means that AT THAT MOMENT he was a near perfect compliment to Kobe in PJ's system.

Now that's all about the NBA, because if we discuss FIBA bball dude's been a dominant force :ehh:

Marc Gasol shot under 40% in his last postseason and just 41% the year before but yeah he's just as good as Pau who shot well over 50% in each of those 3 straight trips to the Finals. :heh:

this is all facts. it's still stupid to assume that kobe wouldnt couldn't have won another ring without the pau trade though. who knows how much quicker marc would have developed practicing with kobe, bynum, odom, phil. who knows what other roster moves the lakers would have made.

kobe fans are intelligent enough to acknowledge that although pau gasol was a great pickup and crucial to their titles

kobe haters are so stupid that they have convinced themselves that pau gasol, a guy who was considered to be on the level of guys like carlos boozer, was the ONLY way the lakers could win a championship

but what do you expect? these are the same shortsighted d*ckheads who refuse to accept the fact that memphis improved as a result of the pau trade

a. who said marc was as good?
b. marc is lightyears ahead of pau defensively

How many playoff games did he WIN before lakers

I was typing at a red light, didn't finish my post

Pau is a very good player but you clowns take it overboard

This d*ckhead said he's a top 10 big ALL TIME :dead:

Pau gasol was considered a Carlos boozer level player. You clowns act like he was Duncan or Hakeem

Pau was considered an elite player on a "meh team" that was hit by injuries. He was just a big at a time where it was full of GOAT-tier bigs when he was coming into his prime (Shaq, Duncan, Dirk, KG, Yao, and other solid bigs) so he went under the radar to more casual fans but he was regarded as an elite player that was among the most offensively skilled bigs around.

Great passer, complete offensive repertoire, great vision, and his length plus footwork meant he was a fairly active defender back then.

There's a reason Pau commands Kobe's complete respect as a basketball player and understands his talent. Dude is fukking talent and still among the most skilled offensive bigs on the game.

He didn't win any but that was because the other team was always better...

I mean if we going to play the how many game....

How many playoff games did Kobe win after Pau left? :mjlol:

How many playoff games did Kobe play in after Pau left?:mjlol:

How many times did the lakers have a winning record after Pau left? :mjlol:

You telling me Pau needed Kobe but since Pau left the Lakers they been one of the worst teams in the nba every year and every year they were one of the worst teams...Kobe was on the roster :mjlol:

Both teams improved overall but Memphis also improved due to a myriad of factors like Rudy Gay having another year of experience, nabbing ZBO, and Marc improving too.

The season after Marc Joined, they won 24 games :francis:

the only people int he world who would call pau gasol a top 10 big man are people who are trying to discredit kobe.

look at this list

Hakeem Olajuwon
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Shaq
Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Russell
Tim Duncan
Moses Malone
Karl Malone
Patrick Ewing
David Robinson
Charles Barkley
Kevin Garnett
Dirk Nowitzki
Kevin McHale
Chris Webber

how stupid does it sound to call pau gasol a top 10 big man? @Ben. and anybody else cosigning that silly sh*t :mjlol:

Pau played 39 games and 27 games those last 2 years in Memphis those 20 win seasons have nothing to do with him:russ:

I never even said that, I expected lack of NBA knowledge from a kobestan but lack of reading comprehension too :francis:
