People are acting like jets are gonna give away revis cheap.

revis could go down as the greatest cb to ever play the game. Hes a once in a a generation talent.

jets are gonna get a big payday from this trade. Theirs going to be teams competing for this upping the value.

The Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are teams that are believed to be highly interested in acquiring Darrelle Revis via trade.

The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills are also interested, but the Jets are not expected to trade Revis within their division.

The Packers have been constantly mentioned as an interested party in Revis across all sources.

Tramon Williams and a couple of picks... do it TT :blessed:

Hayward, Shields and Revis would become one of the best secondaries in the league :ahh:

I seriously doubt the Niners will land Revis...even it's just for a 1 year "rental".

Although, they do have something like 13 picks in this upcoming draft. My thinking, though, was that they would package some of those picks to move up in the draft and get somebody they covet.
I just couldn't see him going to the Niners.

Also, I can't see him going to the Seagulls, either. They're set at corner, plus if they're going to extend Revis, then they're going to do that at the expense of probably Sherman who will want top corner money. The Seagulls are already very good in the secondary...they have problems on the D Line that they need to shore up more than anything.

The Jets, however, won't get equal value for Revis if they trade him. There will be a demand, but I highly doubt they get anything higher than a 3rd for a player coming off of reconstructive knee injury; even if he is/was the best corner in the league.

Just my two cents:

As a long time Jets fan, I would love to keep Revis. It's always nice to say you have the best position player in the league. He sells jerseys and all of that, and that's cool. Let's be real though, that means nothing if we aren't consistently winning. What's the point of having the best corner in the league if we're going to continue to miss the playoffs because of a terrible offense and a sometime-ish defense. At this point Revis is a luxury, not a necessary. We would be remiss if we didn't at least explore what we can get for him. Maybe a decent starter (doesn't have to be a superstar) and one or two draft picks. Fact is, we've got a lot of work to do and it probably will get worse before it gets better. Plus, I'm willing to bet that he holds out again and demands more money in the near future. What will have been the point then?

Again, we don't have to dump him for cheap, but shouldn't we at least see what we can get for him and see if we can't patch up some holes?
