the bears got b-marsh for like 2 3rd rounders last summer, and he was coming off a good season statistically and no injuries.
exactly
moss was traded for a 2nd rounder and a bag of peanuts

cutler and palmer were the last two players who got traded for a first rounder+, and both teams were absolutely desperate about QB situations.

then every position is limited. you dont need a dominant anything to be in the superbowl, you have to get a good team

revis played a huge part in those jets teams making two AFC championships in the row

Every position is important but CB has been over-valued. When I say limited I don't mean it has little value, it's value has just been far too over-exaggerated recently.

No way in hell should any CB be making $12m. And you're just a complete shyt franchise if you pays one corner $12m and the other one $9m.

dude obviously never seen revis play a game. revis shuts down an entire side of a field and allows the defense to load up and blitz

So trade the $9 mil one since he's not as good yet might get you similar value.

If Flynn, Smith, Cousins, Rivers or Romo were remotely capable of winning a Superbowl, they wouldn't be given to us. That's why trading for a QB is not wise.

Everyone on that list is better than Sanchez. Rivers and Romo have Superbowl potential, but all that matters is making it to the playoffs and going from there. If QB was a guaranteed factor in teams in the superbowl it'd be the Packers against the Pats.

We're not getting Romo for Revis.

We'll get unknowns back for Revis. Two first round picks. Extremely valuable pieces, just unknowns.

No ones giving up a player of Romo's caliber for a corner back.

Giving up Romo gives Jerry an automatic reset button on all of the Cowboy fans frustration/vitriol. I don't think it's an impossible thing PLUS I'd think you'd get Romo before a team gives up two first rounders.

Please i`ve seen Revis plenty, you're just another one of them Jets stans who thinks Revis is the God of football.

The Jets still got torched by teams by just going away from Revis. Sure he locked down his one man, and then the TE's killed you guys week in and week out.

You don't pay a CB $12 million

thats retarded. not one position is more important than other in football. especially on defense.

you name one position that you think is vital for making it to superbowl, Ill give you a guy who is mediocre or just above average who made it.

best LB, best CB, best DE, best FS, best SS, best DT in the league are all worth top money

Romo could ultimately be false hope...but its tough to walk away from a guy that's shown he can be a legit passer in this league..especially with no one behind him.

It's Superbowl or failure around here.

Fez will be here regardless. You're better than Fez. Why build a team that can succeed in spite of your QB?

That's the thing. If we're gonna be as bad as I know we can be, Romo or Rivers would impeded our search for a franchise QB. As much as I hate Fez, he's our biggest asset towards getting one in 2014.

They`re all worth top money, but top money shouldb't be $12m for a CB.

There is obvious values to each position, and I don't feel like CB is as valuable as it began to be.

Especially when you put as much money into CB as the Jets have

The trade value aint the same.

Like I said, look at this season. Your offense was much worse than last year, and you had no Revis and you there was a 2 game differential.

It's not like the wheels fell off the wagon when Revis went away

So Cromartie coming off the season he just had wouldn't be worth shyt now on the market? :aicmon:

You're still not getting it. This is NOT a 6 win team next year even with cuts and new blood. They're gonna lose. A LOT. So much that we might be that team that picks in the top 3 next year. They're gonna get worse before it gets better. This team hasn't hit rock bottom yet.

2013 Home opponents in Blue, Road in red

Buffalo, Miami, New England, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New Orleans,
Tampa Bay, Oakland

Buffalo, Miami, New England, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Carolina,
Tennessee

Find me more than 4 wins on that schedule with the team they have right now.

Funny read in this thread ... lol @ comments like "CB is a non-important position" "The league is becoming a passing league"

How do those 2 points support the other? Looks like it contradicts one another...

And whoever said Falcons would be wise to look, I agree. They have shown they will do whatever it takes to make it to the SB. I'm sure their GM only has another season or 2 before Home Depot blows up the existing front office and coaching staff.

A few other teams I could see enter the Revis Island Sweepstakes are Washington, NYG and Tampa Bay

He will definitely command a 1st and 2nd round pick... but it will probably take a conditional 1st or 2nd sweetener on top of the 1st and 2nd.

i found the alex smith + 1st rounder conversation to be quite entertaining.

there's also the raiders who could use his services... but

Part of why they're in this mess is because they DID trade all the picks away and botched the few they had.

Like I said, I can't be confident in the team's ability to draft well until they draft well. Keep Revis, have Idzik actually show what he can do. Otherwise, why deal Revis only to have those picks used on Rex's new Fullback and DT or DE that can't rush the passer?

In the back of my mind this is gonna end up like Charles Woodson to Green Bay.

The defense with revis and Landry :win: ( giants fan by the way ) and with CRo stepping up and Wilson as nickel is a good look. Idk why jets fans would jua want to step back completely and become a high draft pick team. Plus If coples and Wilkerson improve even more you can stay in games .

:whoo: I can see 8-9 wins on there . Not with Sanchez and those weapons :mjpls: why can't the jets just idk ....draft competently . These niccas waste picks on gholston , Sanchez :trash: can't the draft picks they currently have do something ? Do the jets have less than usual due to the tebow trade .
