Dog .. everyone knows this is the case. That's not even an argument. You're just making it one. All us Jet fans know we wont get a king's ransom for a rental. Thing is .. lets say for example the Niners call up the Jet org and say "Give us a 48 hour window to negotiate a contract with Revis, if he accepts, then we'll give you (I'm just saying hypothetically) a first and a third"
^^ That right there isn't considered a 'rental' if he agrees to the contract proposal. Now, If you trade for a player with no guarantee on him being there past that year, then that's a rental. Do you see what I'm trying to say?
