revis is a monster, but i highly doubt they are going to get a "boatload" back for him if they do trade him

Hes comin off an ACL, and i know adrian peterson did his thing, but hes an exception to the rule. I would assume revis comes back full strength, but im sure not giving him the money that he wants long term if im a team out there and taking that chance, at the money he will demand

In that case, he can stay :blessed:

some spots are saying the Jets would rather deal Cro

and they are idiots for thinking just like you

Not really actually. A top 3 pick last year held a lot more value than it does this year.

There are no Andrew Lucks in this years draft.

first and second AND a conditional pick ?
:laff:

you my dude by thats not happening at all. jets need picks badly and keeping revis fresh off the surgery for one more season does nothing to them.

lol at 1st, 2nd and a conditional 1st/2nd for a rental. cmon man :snoop:

not sure what you find so amusing... we're talking about the #1 cover corner in the league... what's all this rental talk of? Wherever he gets traded to, no team is going to give up one 1st rounder for a rental... they will re-sign him to a long term

i think

we'll see soon enough

I thought hed be a rental. Im not sure teams are ready to trade a bunch of high picks and/or players AND pay revis 17+ milly a year with lots in guarantees right after a big injury.

most likely teams will promise him way more salary if theyre able to get him through FA.
in this situation, everyone wins, but the jets. hence why a rental trade would be beneficial for them imo

some of the best drafts of the last few years had no good qbs taken.

07 was a first round full of franchise players. Megatron, AD, Willis, Lynch, Joe Thomas, Revis, Bowe, Beason, Staley

:jawalrus: kolb and john beck :scusthov: were the only qbs taken in first three rounds

i think it is safe to say that most teams interested in revis, will do their due diligence and consult with his surgeon as well as get multiple opinions.. much like a lot of people did with Peyton Manning

so to assume he'll automatically be damaged goods coming into the season is unreasonable. he's shown that he has one of the best work ethics when it comes to his craft and i'm certain he's rehabbing like crazy. if peyton can come back from his neck and AD from his knee...

i understand that deals like carson palmer can only occur with a crazy ass coach who was desperate because he had kyle boller as his #2 qb... but it's still a benchmark most GMs can use as an example.

and i should have clarified that the conditional pick i speak of has to do with pro bowl and playoff implications.

anyways, it's all heresay right now.. you and I both are armchair GMs.. so anything is possible.. esp for that type of talent

note that no team cared to trade anything for peyton but rather waited until he was cut to be able to give him more $

Can't believe the 9ers didn't wait to deal Alex Smith for Revis. How'd that not happen? :wtf:

Revis isn't going anywhere unless some team is prepared to give up a lot for him. The Jets don't have to trade him and I would assume they're gauging interest because they have a ton of holes to fill on that team and Revis would obviously net the most in return.

Was listening to WFAN they had Charlie Casserly on, basically saying the market isn't even going to be that hot for Revis.

With the injury, and the rental status.
