No you're not stating the obvious, you're stating Bullshyt pulled out your arse. Cut it out with the half witty remarks, you're not fooling anyone. continue being the voice of stupidity here.

Where'd you get your rebuttal info from? Exactly. You are the biggest expert on the site and nobody knows where you get your expert info. Do some research and get back to me. Or don't do either.

You make a monumental assumption that all sony exclusives have huge budgets like halo therefore if it doesn't sell as much as halo it's not profitable and hurts them. That's your whole stance in a nutshell.

Smarten up Fat... I'm not implying that they all are exclusives. What I'm saying is that they have a model set to own and maintain all these studios with the plan to sell like they did with ps2 and ps3. So when they have these big budget games that don't sell as well because they don't control as much as the market their stock prices fall. Meanwhile Microsoft pays for exclusives. The difference is that they pay for the game... Sony pays for everything. If Uncharted 4 fails then its a Naughty Dog/ Sony Problem. If Titanfall fails then its a Titafall problem. Microsoft isn't closing any studios. Its simple baby. Take an Econ class.

EA searching for a COD killer. They get Titanfall, then turn around and make it Xbox Exclusive. They blew ANY chance of Battlefield dethroning COD with this BF4 fukkery and the game that has the potential to dethrone Call Of Duty, they make it Xbox platform exclusive. Complete dumbasses.
Nope unless they come out with smaller maps, add kill streaks, and make the pace a lot faster, it ain't dethroning shyt

OK well the games are super successful and sell a lot. How do they stay going near the red? There is a reason Bungie was willing to give up Halo to get to make multiplatform games... But hey I've taken econ classes. Show me your transcripts.

LOL I did too... But you can't tell me its good for business. The reality is success is relative. But in addition to that the successful games go to not only keep the lights on but the fund the other games. As an investor you aren't buying Sony stock...

"they don't control as much of the market.." What market is that?? I'm sure it's been shown that PS3's market share is basically the same as 360's as of now. You're looking at this from last gen's perspective solely for the US. Right now what's the situation like?? PS4 outselling xb1 right?? Killzone SF sold 1 million worldwide already and look at the install base for PS4??
http://www.craveonline.com/gaming/a...ll-is-first-next-gen-game-to-sell-one-million
You're focused solely on short run sales and not longetivity. A game may not sell 7 milllion in one month like Halo but if it still reaches that number in a year or so does it matter??

Especially so if the game's budget wasn't even that high. Again you're saying sony closed studios due to failing big budget games. How many big budget studios have sony closed?? Liverpool??

Has Naughty dog closed down?? Has any ND game failed on playstation?? Has Sucker Punch closed down?? Has Guerilla games shut down?
Unless we have hard concrete numbers here it's all a guessing game.

Oh and I played GTA V so I know economy bro. :mjpls:

Nah they haven't closed any studios down that I know of... They probably need to close a some. A lot of these sony owned studios aren't profitable enough to keep Sony away from that red. The reality of it all is that this gen is so far from over its not even funny. Sony is not stupid. Their heavy hitters aren't coming out till they have a great install base. Microsoft is going to take the hit and get their install base up. But yeah 7 million in a month vs in a year saves a lot on advertisement and other expenditures.

Well if they're not stupid then I'm sure they've got their studio management under control. The area I think Sony was weak in last gen and are improving this gen are in marketing. Last gen their commercials and messaging was ambiguous and caused for lots of gems to go unnoticed. Now they've improved tremendously and it's showing from their sales and attach rate of games. Killzone 2 sold 1 million in two months on a MUCH LARGER install base.
In 2009 there was 13 million ps3's sold and KZ2 only sold 1 milli in a few months.
Here KZ SF sold 1 milli on a console that just released with a install base less than 3 milli in a month. Impressive.

:comeon: half of those killzone sales are bundles. Game bundled with launch hardware always sell more than usual. That's why they put killzone out when they did. Otherwise it would have probably sold less than the last one.
