So who else enjoyed that wrestling classic between Orton and Lesnar?

Whatever the company planned for the finish wasn't to please WWE fans. It was for all the people that were watching just to see Brock. They knew since after the UFC fight that alot of outsiders would tune in just to see Brock. They were trying to impress non regular fans.

Sounds like an awful business decision. Giving a short main event for your 2nd biggest show of the year to appease a small percentage of fans who won't stick around.

And your trying to rationalize this as if we're not talking about Vince and the WWE.........a company well known for making bad decisions

There have been plenty of money matches over the years that didn't go on last. A lot of people wanted to see The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in 2009 and it was the first marquee match of the night.

I understand that Lesnar/Orton is a big match but even if a lot of people wanted to see it, that doesn't justify closing the show with it, especially if it was just going to be the same standard Lesnar match again and they PLANNED to end the show with Orton getting knocked out. It's not like last year with The Undertaker because that match was set in place more than a year before, and it was actually a back and forth match with suspense. They chose to do this match with Orton just because it hasn't happened yet, and as you saw, they were content with ending the match like that. That's not a proper way to build a story. People were shytting on this match before it even happened.

Balor winning his first world championship is an afterthought now compared to the bullshyt ending. The way I see it, they made the wrong call here.

I agree it shouldn't have went on last if they were doing that finish. But you're wrong in saying nobody wanted to see it which was what I was responding to. And if they were to do Finn Seth last people would have been bytching regardless.

Also I don't think its fair to say Finn's win was an afterthought because WWE obviously cares about the title. But they had about 5 main event caliber matches last night and shine had to be carefully allocated. Put Finn Seth on last, you devalue the Smackdown belt.

Was it a classic? No, but I still liked it. It did what his match against Cena did a few years ago. It reinforced that Brock is an unfukkwitable monster by showing him completely destroy one of the top guys. It wasn't there to be a four-star match, it was there to put Brock over. And all that blood was a happy accident that further made Brock seem ruthless and unstoppable.

Now they just need to build someone up to beat Brock.

Big Show was on the radio down here in Miami a couple weeks ago and said there are guys in the locker room that Brock would never try in real life. He said Cesaro and William Regal are 2 of them.

We all know that Regal and Del Rio would probably fight anyone...i never heard of anyone messing with Cesaro. Probably wouldnt be a good idea though.

The Dean Ambrose who was wrestling to crickets tonight?
to be fair, if dolph fought anyone else except brock, last night it would have prolly been crickets. that clearly should have been a 3-way.

truth about brock though is he's his own entity. when he first got back, he lost to cena and someone else, if im not mistaken. its really no easy way to book him because he isnt gonna be on tv every week and he cant look weak, ever unless its some extenuating circumstances because it doesnt even look realistic. i would have loved to see him face someone like bryan and have to do the job. smarks would have found all kinds of reasons as to why it was "ok." :shaq:

I get they were going for a worked shoot but we know it's scripted and that Lesnar isn't gonna just go into business for himself like that. I mean he was giving Orton the softest suplexes I've seen him do in awhile. Having fans sit for 7 hours and not get a payoff in the main event just insults their intelligence.

Meltzer saying the blood spot was planned but they didnt expect that much blood. Hardway and TKO and abrupt finished was planned :snoop:
Damn. How they gonna let a 12x world champ get in only 3 moves? Smh

I have no problem with that being the ending but it should've been done after more time gone by and Orton getting in more offense.

A main event 15 years in the making and it sucked. I don't know why you watch (nor do I care) but I watch to be entertained and to see good wrestling. That main event provided neither. But I guess it's all good since Brock is getting a check but you're not going to see any of that money so you have no reason to :cape:.

So you're in your feelings over a wrestler doing the same shyt when 99% of wrestling is the same nikkas doing the same shyt. :camby:

Brock is 40 and has good matches for someone his size. He isn't as good as he was in his prime but that's life.

But since the iwc has him in their sights I guess we can expect you nikkas crying over everything he does now. :martin:

Best Match Ever

Steamboat vs Savage at Mania 3, forget about it

Mysterio vs Guerrero at Halloween Havoc, forget about it

Taker vs HBK at Mania 25 :camby:

Brock & Orton put on a 5 star classic for the ages, Vince should give him 20 million a year for all he does.
