Lesnar was THE man as long as the belts were unified, once they split the belts by giving HHH the World Title... he was made The Man on RAW.
Him and Evolution were running things, and he went through Steiner, Booker T, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels (off the top of my head) and always ended up with the Big Gold Belt back in his hands and this was when people still cared about that title.

Do you guys think Eddie was the man on Smackdown for a bit? Or was he always just in rotation for the spot with the Smackdown 6? He was def. extremely over.

eddie was 'most over' for sure for a period but he was never the one like on the level we're talking about.

Yeah, Brock was unquestionably the man when the belts were unified, but the fact that they DIDN'T take the belt off of him, and they created a HHH belt simply shows that he (lesnar) was definintely the one.

They were going to feed austin to him on raw.
They had rock put him over like a king.

it was brock during that period until Undertaker built up the WHC on smackdown

But still Brock was on Smackdown which was considered the B Show.

The Evolution shyt was the hottest thing going on at the time and Trips was the main man in that group while he was the champ.

I gotta go with my niqqa Paul :wow:

True about the different era but Bruno was undoubtedly THE face of Vince Sr.'s WWWF over either of them hence them getting title runs AFTER him.

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh on Andre, wasn't my intention.
breh...Backlund and Bruno were not togethor...Bruno was semi retired during his time...Backland was like Lesnar....pushed to the moon when he was first came to the WWF,he never played second fiddle to Bruno

Sitting down and thinking about it, I see no reasonable time table where Undertaker could be "The One".

Going from 1991 to 1997 without any belt kinda made him the Andre of the 90s. An attraction that everyone loved no matter what.

Cripple H didn't get the World title. A gimmick with no history and nothing that had no lineage. Now..they can call Cripple H the World Champion but the WWF/E and WCW titles were tied up in Lesnar's belt. Period. Rest of that shyt is just something you fell for and allowed them to dupe you over all this time. It was never legit. Lesnar was the champ...he beat the Rock at Summerslam. His belt was the only one that mattered. It headlined WM 19..not Cripple H wrestling Booker T over him being a dancing boy or whatever that wack shyt was.

Rock was the one hands down during the early 2000's, not going to dispute what he brought to the company with his mainstream movies and catch phrases all over the place, i would say he made smackdown more than Brock and Eddie. HHH was the man briefly as the chief heel for both shows.

Evolution? What great feuds did they have? When they finally turned Orton, what happened? Instead of Cripple H just doing what's right and turning face and letting Blandy stay heel, they flipped it and in the end, when it was all said and done, somehow Batista got majorly over by January 2005 and went on to win the damn belt at Mania 21 in Hollywood.

Evolution Cripple H didn't really run Raw..he got kicked out of the top heel spot for Rock in 2003 outright. They kept his stuff in the middle of the show and the Rock had multiple segments with Hurricane, Booker, Austin, Trish, Jeff Hardy, Christian, and eventually Goldberg. The WWE MADE SURE you knew that Cripple H was never the Rock or Austin's equal. And he never went legitimately went over the Undertaker in booking either. During the Attitude Era or anything. He was the Undertaker's bytch in 1995. He was the top heel over Cripple H before he got injured in 1999...the Taker and Austin overruns are some of the biggest in the history of pro wrestling. He came back in 2000 and the fans automatically put Taker over Cripple H and they had the Cripple H character ducking and avoiding Undertaker segments. This didn't happen with Rock...he let Taker talk wild to him a couple of weeks after Judgement Day but he it was clear as day when the fans went DEAD QUIET on the Undertaker talking wild about Rock and the Rock continuing to main event over all Taker/Kane/Cripple H segments told you what that show was all about.

:patrice:

Eddie was a great in-ring worker with incredible charisma, but he was never the main draw. He was an upper mid-carder. He had a run at the top, got a win at WMXX. But he never got back to that level again. His career is similar to Y2J. Chris was a good worker, main-evented some shows, held some world titles, but was never the man.
