So who is looking to sign up for "Obamacare" in about 2 weeks?

You mean single-payer and we don't necessarily know if it would work though there is some research saying that it would. Personally, I would've greatly preferred that at least the original provision which was going to test out providing Medicare to that group of people (I think it was ages 50 something to 65) most likely to be sick outside of the traditional Medicare population as a good idea. Basically they were going to allow that for 10 years to see what would happen in practice and if it worked then it would be proposed to do the same thing for everyone (replacing what we're doing now). The bill does allow for states to test out their own universal healthcare plan and if places like Vermont as successful I see the rest of the Northeast following suit. At that point, it will come down to how stubborn the South really is.I dunno, we could just have universal healthcare instead...

obamacare will be the worst thing ever to happen to america. how many times does it take you ppl to realize barack works for corporations and not the people? remember the bailout?
obamacare will cost working ppl $300/a month and it's the irs that will be hunting you down for it. for those that work that -$300 off your paycheck. and those of you who're making money in paypal the irs will be taking that money. you can't hide. the irs will hunt you down and find you.
obamacare should be enough for states to want to break away from the "united states". i don't know who the hell comes up with these idiotic ideas and why ppl just don't wake up.
right now whoever needs care gets it. with obamacare it's gonna take the govt to decide whether you need care of not. and whether the money's there for healthcare. decisions will be coming from washington dc. a bloodtest will require a decision from washington.
there are plenty of doctors calling radio against this healthcare. plenty of them. but the country is headed in the direction and there's no hope of even slowing it down let alone stopping it.

Worst thing to EVER happen? Really breh?? The Patriot act is MUCH worse.
Bottom line, if you get INS from your employer, your fine. If your poor and don't work, you don't matter.
If not, consider getting whatever plan/tier is cheapest in your state and hope to GOD you don't get seriously hurt or ill or go to the doctor a lot or get labwork ran or blood drawn, cause your out-of-pocket cost will be very high (and I suspect your co-pay, which is starting to NOT be able to waive before visiting the doctor, on any plan will be very high regardless). If you want a better plan, expect a higher premium, lower subsidy but lower out-of-pocket costs.
I also think people will start to look at FSA and HDHP (but that will be fukked over by the gov't fukking with the COLA (cost of living adjustment, like they did w SSI/Disability), that may take more money out of the hands of those that need it to pay rent and stuff like that.
