I'm a just be honest I always felt that Jay-Z was over-hyped and I think a lot of that has to do w/Beyonce being his wife. If she doesn't marry him he probably wouldn't have had the opportunities to do the things that he's done and he would probably be an afterthought.

I never liked the fact that jigga warriors looked at Jay as some trendsetter when this guy stayed biting off damn near everybody's rhymes (especially BIG) and then stealing Young Chris style.

Reasonable Doubt was a revised classic...It wasn't popping when it came out.

Depends on the criteria.

Jay is a bigger star with more hits and longevity but Cube changed the game. I don't think Jay was ever a trendsetter like cube was in his prime.

If we're judging based off length of relevancy the Jay is the bigger legend.

If we're judging based off impact then it's Cube easily.

And that's how I look at hip-hop the dudes that had the most impact.

That’s fine but that run is specific era. Jay dropped arguable classics in like 4 different eras. And is still on huge records 25 years after his debut.
