Seriously though. Who would turn down a trade like Demarcus Cousins for Westbrook if possible. Throw in Ray McCallum Jr. for OKC to develop and everyone wins. Kings can have Thabeet

why would the kings make that trade when they got isiah thomas ballin out for their squad this season at a fraction of what :russ: cost????

Thomas is having a good year but he's no franchise pg. he'd be a nice backup. Plus Russell can play the two:manny:.

Isn't it funny how major sports news stations and blogs are all talking about Russel Westbrook and his place on the Thunder with the "new and improved" Durant? Even heard a little trade talk too from Jemle Hill. I guess she does lurk these forums :ohhh:

Jemele, how about a shout out next time :manny:

Out of the 25 games they played with Russell Westbrook they won 21 of them by an average 11.2 points. Although they've done equally as well recently, the reason the Thunder have been hot recently is because Durant has been playing out of his mind and Lamb and Jackson have emerged. That said, all them will regress (especially the younger players in the playoffs). They also have had a very easy schedule as of late with the Sixers & Celtics. You don't trade a guard who can score, rebound and basically lead a 1 man fast break as well as Westbrook. He gets OKC too many easy baskets.

I really think everyone's becoming prisoners of the moment. Honestly during those 25 games I would have told Russell Westbrook was an MVP candidate. That doesn't change because Durant has played out of his mind. You need multiple stars in this league to win.

if it wasn't for Durants ridiculous streak we would have lost a handful of games. reggie jackson has been downright awful during this stretch as well. and i agree with you with westbrook being the MVP for the first half.

I think the point is how good can OKC be with a top nba center instead of Westbrook (which they could get for Westbrook) combine that with Jacksons solid pg play plus lamb and perry jones (both who will only get better in my opinion) AND Durant taking more shots/playmaking like he has been and the Thunder are a more complete team. I say they'd be sure to win a title actually.

Bottom line: Durant can't reach his full potential with Westbrook. People have been saying it for years, and now we finally see the type of player he can be without Russell. No slight to Russ. I'd like to see him on his own team as well

I get that but I don't think you're going to get equal value for Westbrook.
