the 07 pats team was clearly better in the regular season than the giants team that barely made the offs as a wild card.

I don't believe that.. I think a team could be 11-5 and have had a tough schedule, injuries, etc and beat the 15-1 team in the playoffs. There are many reasons why this could happen.

Also, you're acting like the regular season is the only indicator of how good they are.. doesn't the postseason also count??

its also why the term 'best team' is very relative and nearly meaningless. its not like basketball where you have 7 game series and tons of possessions to even out shyt in the long run.

Im discussing my stance is that 16 games is pretty small sample size in itself, and since its 1 game series in the playoffs you can be by far the best team in course of 18 games and still lose the bowl.

hence your point about the giants being the best team in 07 I disagree with. giants just proved the old axiom that a great defense is more likely to get you a championship. it took a valiant defensive effort and some amazing miracle clutch throw and catches to get that W for the Giants.
