2 Chainz' star fading? :what: kind of alternate universe do you live in?

Flocka I agree with 110 percent though.

This year we saw the end of Rick Ross. 2013 leaked this morning and he won't be around at the end of the movie.

J Cole

I was a fanboy before the album came out but I feel like he disappeared this year. Kendrick really showed way more potential and talent with his album. I'm not sure Cole is capable of something like GKMC, given his arrogant view on his own production. His beats don't knock, they aren't mellow, they're just...piano shyt over weak drums and low bass.

Lupe is back on his feet again after Lasers and his next album will be the return of the king, lets not kid ourselves we all know its going to be fire. He stopped that losing streak he was on and had a year of resurgence so shut the fukk up. :shaq2:

In terms of stars fading however none have had a worse year than Ross, I'll give him one more year before its all finished for him. Lil Wayne had a pretty shytty year as well.

Drake/Kendrick and if I'm honest the whole of the West Coast probably had the best year.

Don't sleep on New York though I can feel them coming back from the dead next year :shaq:

Outside of the NY comment, I agree with you. Lu still has a shot cause he still young and Hip Hop is slowly moving into the right direction.

Nicki Minaj is on the ropes. Dropping a techno sounding album and being big headed harmed her a lot, both credibility and record sales

Waka is on the ropes, too. Again, dropping a techno sounding single with other artists that is fading credibility harmed him too. No one talks about his album anymore.

Game really doesn't care about his position anymore. He just want to get out that contract and he did with a decent album.

Ross def took a hit with the GDs calling him out and him cancelling his tour dates. Also GFID isn't as hot as people expected it to be.

Wayne, along all of YM outside of Drake, is on the ropes. No one wants a Wayne verse for their singles anymore, his mixtapes is just collection of trash raps, and his image is a shadow of his former self.

Ludacris should own this thread, though. Dropping 2 duds of singles and one of them sounds like Jersey Shore music just re-enforced Drake's diss that he is cold as an ice cap. His career is all but over at this point. He had a great 10 year run, though.

I loved 2 Chainz album.

I think Ross and Jeezy are on the decline though. I hope not but I just can't see them holding our attention much longer.

This was 2Chainz (Tity Boi) biggest year.

Nicki Minaj's star didn't fade. She made the mistake of making an album that catered to a demographic that cops singles and not albums. That's why "Starships" is multi-platinum and the album isn't platinum. I think even "Pound the Alarm" is platinum. No matter how wack we think the songs are, there's obviously an audience for it. They just aren't buying a mixed bag of a Nicki album in an age where they can purchase individual songs.

T.I. is entering that rare zone in which he's survived a decade in an industry where only a handful of artists are as fortunate.

Rick Ross is where he was last year.

Wayne- the verdict's still out on him. The Carter series is his biggest draw and anything else doesn't garner near the attention. His side albums don't have the smash singles that a Carter album does.

Meek definitely didn't live up to the hype. Niqqa was meant to be like the new dmx

Album was so weak. So weak.
