however Reed's brain is a goddam plot device..... this dude creates pocket universes in his sleep

i remember hearing though that the reason for doom has a big ego is cause he always saw reed as superior intellectually then him,

Reed Richards is smarter then Doom. Doom is just more ambitious then Reed Richards. You forgot it was Reed who told Doom when they were in collage what was wrong with his machine to contact the dead.
