They're only in playoff contention because the East is garbage. They wouldn't be a top 8 seed in the West - which in reality would be more reflective of their current talent/ability. It's not about tanking, it's the fact they ain't built for being contenders. They gonna be in the same position next season (unless they make moves) and will just be prolonging the whole process even further.
