The personalities have been muted and sanitized because every sports jock that felt it added to the luster of a player when throwing a fan through glass plate windows, appreciated witnessing greatness in someone scoring 63 points in a LOSS, felt it was a part of the game to display choke signs and felt getting your head knocked off "on occasion" didnt use those opportunities to play fake culture critic.

Young people.....stop blaming the full personalities..... The commissioner decided to prostrate himself and the league to the behest of these hypocrites. And young players have to play by those rules or see their reputation thrown into a trash by a slob writer who MS Word printed a document called "sports journalist" as their title.

Dead ass, growing up Inside Stuff was the highlight of my week during basketball season. The NBA was way less accessible then, so it was the only way you got to know about some players. I had every Slam magazine: Trash Talk was my favorite section. I use to like when people said shyt like, "I'm out like Pat Ewing's knees." I recorded every All-Star game and All-Star Saturday night on VHS, brehs. If I was bored, I'd just throw in one of my All-Star game tapes. The '98 game was my grail for a long time (e.g., Rik Smits behind the back pass). The 2000 Slam Dunk contest was my other holy relic. I let my neighbor hold it and he said the tape popped. I think he just pilfered that shyt now, to be real. I didn't know any better. You think I was worried about recording last night?

We're just different now. We're not in middle or high school anymore where you can't wait to argue with people the next day at school about how so and so was schooling this, or that player all night. When McGrady showed out in the 2002 All-Star game, people knew not to say shyt to me. I was walking around with the subtle on for like two weeks after that. Would it be that serious to me now? No.

I think it's these. It's cool to be friends off-court, but these dudes be buddy-buddy on court as well. Scared to guard each other, scared to give it your 100%. As a result, we don't see any rivalries. And I don't want to hear, well they've known each other since....When has that ever mattered? Dudes have always seen each other on the come up, and then later in the NBA. That doesn't change your competitive nature. Also, EVERYONE seems to have the same jovial personality.

I think it's the exact opposite. Ithink they are having too much fun, instead of being more job-like. I think it's treated more like a club, rather than an job. As a result, that intensity when they step on the court, is gone. They are about their brand first, then their on court...instead of letting on court dictate their brand.

Ive just been watching college basketball this year.I feel like the league dynamics are pretty stale at this point.. Traditional rivalries have cooled down (franchises like The Lakers & Celtics are mediocre).. Westbrook and Durant are an amazing duo so the Thunder is cool to watch.. but what else is there? Indiana has been steadily improving... The Heat are coasting through the season... Rose has yet to come back.... if Chi town was a factor I could maybe get with it.

But how is it that I can ignore pro basketball through the entirety of the season, and still know what to look for during the tourne? shyt is so predictable..
