That might be you. You acknowledge that there is a race wage gap in respective fields, yet unemployment among the two lowest paid groups is the highest. If the premise of that video is that companies would hire more women to save money if there truly was a gender wage gap (and that because they don't there isn't one) then why can't the same premise be used to debunk the race wage gap (which you agreed exists)?Clearly you don't understand the concept of adjusting for all variables.

Read this thread about the same topic. It has studies linked and graphs (if you don't feel like reading) that show that even in the same jobs women are making less.

Women tend to make less because often times they do not pursue careers that are needed to keep infrastructure alive. I do see female doctors and female nurses, but as a college student right now most women I come across are majoring in English, Writing, French, teaching, nursing, biology, psychology, sociology, and etc. Go to your local auto shop to get your car fixed. Who is fixing the cars? Go to your local nail salon to get your nails done who is mostly doing the nails? Now what do we need more in this world? Nice nails or working cars? Don't get me wrong women can fix cars, but the hard strenuous jobs that keep infrastructure alive are done by men. In addition to that when it comes to the high corporate jobs that are paying more than six figures men tend to go for those jobs. A lot of women aren't really interested in going out and conquering the world. Also if they are - they usually have a man by their side. Just my observation.
My friend worked at a bookstore and the men got paid a little more (nothing major), because they did all the heavy lifting when the shipment came in. You usually see men building the roads, buildings, cars, and etc. I rarely see women working at places where they drill oil. Also women get pregnant and take maternity leaves that can go from 3 months to years. When they come back to the work force they have catch up.

Gender wage gap is so small it can be thrown out. The only reason it exists is because most women don't negotiate wages like men do.
The bigger problem is the fact that qualified women lose opportunities to less qualified women.

Only applies to a handful of professions that most of which couldn't have a body that could discriminate wages based on gender but....ok.
The thing ppl don't seem to get is that the existence of a gap itself isn't evidence of foul play, and the gap shrinking progressively is evidence of the opposite. But continue your crusade.
