I hate to break to you fellas. But 23,000 is not a good look for the Xbox One over here. In all honesty they should have just kept to the release in China and waited a bit for Japan. Consoles are shyt over here and it's all about handhelds, but they can probably sell off some of that surplus they have in some of the American stores. But 23,000....naw

The fact that Xbox One only sold 23,562 units in Japan during its first week still shows Microsoft has a lot of work to do to penetrate this market. Japansese gamers have never been fond of the Xbox brand and it look like they’re not into the Xbox One too.

In comparison, the PS4 sold over 309,000 units in its first week whole the Wii U sold a 308,000 units. Microsoft is hoping to gain some steam with TGS later this month.

A NeoGAF poster actually collated previous first week openings for home consoles over in Japan. The Xbox One has the lowest opening compared to every home console released since 1998.

The previous lowest opening was the Xbox 360 selling 62,215 units in its first week. The original Xbox did far better selling 123,929 in its first week.

Xbox is not loved over here at all.

I don't understand why they released it over there in the first place. You'd think that Microsoft would get the picture and realize that Japan want's nothing to do with Xbox over there. Even moreso now that handhelds and mobile gaming have taken over, making the console scene over there look like the arcade scene in the states.

Maybe it's because they felt obligated due to their partnerships with Japanese publishers like Capcom and Square Enix.:yeshrug:

shyt aint even front page worthy flabbiness.

Now you got these nikkaz giving away 4 and 5 games with the system as their new gimmick of the month. :skip:
And what countries are those? :sas1: Neverland and Duckberg? :sas2:

So all those Xbox updates with now MKV support landing.. well, today :leon:
Yeah, nobody cares. Is that what you 3cepts tell each other during your "Master Race" treehouse meetings?

How that cloud working out you ask?

Let me learn you on this cloud you dumb salty house nikkaz make fun of because you're ignorant :snoop:

Since at least 2009, Microsoft has been pouring billions of dollars into building their cloud infrastructure. They’ve been throwing up data centers up left and right and taking aim at Amazon who currently is #1 as far as cloud providers. Just in the year 2011 – Microsoft spent $8.6 Billion in research and development on the cloud. And they aren’t planning on slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this month, Microsoft reported that they will be opening 25 new data centers in 2013 in multiple locations around the globe. They also just announced coverage for Japan, China, and Austraila. And a few hours ago, they announced a $700 million investment into their datacenter in Iowa to increase their ability with the cloud.
For comparison's sake, Sony paid $700 million total for there cloud :mjlol:
Look at Forza 5, which studies your driving style in order to create custom AI that behaves like you do. That’s totally different from what Titanfall uses it for, and it’s really cool! So it’s not accurate to say that the Xbox Live Cloud is simply a system for running dedicated servers – it can do a lot more than that.
This has been explained since day one, but since you guys are furious and stannish. You missed the whole purpose of the cloud. You think Microsoft spending total of 10BILLION DOLLARS on Azure was for Nothing :sas1:
Let me leave you with this...
When you look at it. Microsoft and Google are really the only two people who have a “Cloud”. A technical description of a cloud. They have data centers all over the world with tons of fast machines in them and they can slice them up however they want and turn them into virtual machines. And what they have done is exposed that in a very awesome way for Xbox One games. So if you’re in Connecticut and you want to play a game, we can say okay, here is the data center that you are going to go to because its the closest one and you have a 30 ping to it. And there’s no empty servers, so lets spin one up for you in 5 seconds and off you go.

We don’t have to provision hardware, we don’t have to go out and buy a bunch of servers and rack them in different places, it’s just there. It’s easy. It gets rid of all that fear of how this is all actually going to work. We have that available to use.

Let’s get crazy here and say it (Titanfall) gets popular in Japan. If we didn’t think it was going to be popular there and we didn’t buy a bunch of servers to put there, we would be screwed. (Cloud) Helps alleviate those types of problems. – You couldn’t make this game without the dedicated server support

Giantbomb:

So what do you do on the PC? Do you have to replicate elements of that structure for your version or do they have something you can use?

Respawn:

We won’t get all the niceties on PC that you get on Xbox One. There will have to be some engineering of things
I recall you nikkaz from both "master races" laughing at that comment about "nicities"
But guess what, PC gamers have complained about nobody online playing
While XB1 gamers have never experienced such a problem :sas2:
If you look up the thread "Courtdog's Kennel" you'll find a detailed description of what TODAY looks like on PS4
For some reason, you guys couldn't handle the truth :yeshrug:
