Realize the visualizm:

Dark, smoky Jazz club with tables and seats. Small stage with a 3 piece, lady dressed in a gown singing cradling one of those old school mics. Lots of tracking shots and reactions of couples in the audience jamming to the beat.

The production is built around live drums with a very slippery hi hat that plays hide and seek over the rhythm, throw in a brass for some trumpet hits and a fat, rolling bass guitar and its a hit.

Picture perfect, I paint a perfect picture.

this is dope thanks bro.

i am just getting the reference tracks i did official with professional vocalist ... so i have completed 10 tracks with vocalist. i cant upload those though because i am hoping they might blow.

i am trying to be the cartoon Barry Gordy got the paperwork thats important :wow:

- with the grace of God once all the tracks are done with rolling animation for each character or skit, its easier to get them out heard and published and whatever.

last half of verse 3.

now i am grateful for her but i think i need a more modern singer shes a bit cabaret and theres a space for that but not this record.

i would love norah jones whisperey vocals to deliver a joint like this, even though its a mans record. i needed someone who could sing to make the new reference tracks.

heres the OG i butchered my words, not the melody though or rhythm its meant to be a disco/RnB upbeat number therefore the vocal delivery has to be quicker on tempo.

i apologies to your ears but imagine tyreese or omarion one of them cats sing their heart out. :russ:

Yes you do,Carly Simon aint cuttin it:mjlol:

If you've got a little money and a lot of talent focus your resources on what will have the biggest impact.
Tweaking the mix professionally can mean the difference between a flop and hit but all of that means nothing if the beats and rhymes don't uplift and generate a vibe, an emotion.

Its the only reason we do anything and considering the field you're in is super generic its wide open for conquest. Focus on what you do well then link up someone who excels in where you're lacking. There are a lot of creatives out there and its never been easier to connect so make it happen.

props bro :salute:

shyt, it's more money in songwriting and being a songwriter than just being the emcee or singer anyway.

The songwriter writes the songs and collects the checks :myman:

Yessir! :salute:

yep ... but even though its a black thing i have incorporated the tracey chapman, wyclef, you know the eclectic mix due to the reason RnB is too glossy and insencere. they have dope production RnB records but no heart the industry is at a slump but RnB is dead to me.

i want more shyt like this :

if i could sing or find someone without a contract and vocals, wow. :wow:

Find a local karaoke bar or talent show/open mic night and post up. Most of em are turrible but you can pick and choose an entire band of session players and other talent if you're willing to put the work in as loads of people have skills and do it for fun but never even considered it as a viable option to make a living. Its all about plugging into that circuit so another option with less legwork is hitting up local instrument stores as they know precisely who can do what and where they're at.

Helps if you're in a big city though because there is so much more happening and way more flux.

Good luck.

you are 100% on that, and to get a production set up is not that expensive.

i am talking paperwork license and registering after that ... its another story with equipment if you need it and etc.

just chilling at the moment but i got a few plans for winter. props bro :salute:

Songwriting and producing is where it's at.

it's never a day of work so long as you're doing something you love

oh yep yep.

i am in a big city but since this net driven media we are living in now, its like a global village online.

what i mean is you would be surprised the amount of talent who go to these venues like open mics and poetry recitals where you can sing, and band clashes and etc ... most of them already have a team :bryan:

its like vulture land in the so called independent and unsigned artist field, if you show up you can be misconstrued as a pervert or groupie.

i even have a business card with my web and logo on it but ... they think its a scam or you are trying to smash.

laying back online and going on different sites and performers on social media looks like its my most likely source to get something.

even though its animation based thats because i just want to get them heard, i have all this animation stuff i thought put it in a presentation.

ideally i would like to work with alex lapri lol.

but it will cost, so i paid 80 pound per track, which was knocked down from a 100 because the agency were going to charge me 1000. :russ:

you got a lot of intricate knowledge props bro, you got any creative plans with sounds? i know you are on your writing stuff.

Thanks bro!

Yeah, I remember the music video to that song getting a fair amount of airplay on MTV here in the States back in the day

yeah? so the song blew good ... his sister is neneh cherry so i guess back then like ray-j and brandy you could get put on via proximity.

alix lapri, quick question from 1 - 10 where you rate her bro?

if we pooled 50 000 together on the coli, i reckon we can get a track with video too. :wow:

If you're on her socials you know her vibe and style. Write a song based around that and send it to her as a reference. People love hearing about themselves and screens, if you peep through the veneer, give a hint of the true soul within. Tap into this and build because authenticity is magnetic and a very rare element that people get addicted to quickly in this realm.

You Don't Know My Name = Why You Being Weird To Me - Wednesday Special - Hot Chocolate

Starter for ten:

I don't know what it is
I can't see
But I feel
Why you being weird to me?

Sang in a breathy style with a yearning tone that crescendos as the verse rises.

Take it to the lab and get to cookin...
