I dont think that anyone should date brokies (Men or Women). I think its more of the verbiage here. Is a single dollar less than her salary "broke"? Because she is saying "less".
I would have never married a broke woman, but I don't consider everything less than I make as "broke" either.
I personally think there is a massive spectrum between rich and broke. It's not either or, someone could be making ~300k a year and make less than her (depending on her income at the moment) and I wouldnt call that person broke. But he would make less than her. And some women (not all, and not even a majority) think/feel that ANY man making "less" than her would be problematic. Even us men who wouldnt date a broke chick don't take such an extreme view. I mean, proof is in this thread. (Not to pick on this poster but look at this)
See that? Thats different than saying stay away from broke dusties. Everyone knows to stay away from broke dusties. But instantly deeming anyone that makes less than you (even if miniscule) as a humongous red flag is worthy of literally being labeled extreme hypergamy. Thats just centering money above all things in your romantic life which doesn't exactly increase your odds of finding happiness.

I agree most aren't but I know quite a few that are very foolish and do this all the time. A lot of them think they can mold the bum dude into the man they want and end up with nothing but problems.
