I understand gamers have preference but I'm really not seeing any strong arguments against this type of battle system. The entire demo they showed was to justify it and show what its capable of.

We're getting freedom with the camera, dodge and cover mechanics, requesting ally assistance, as well as teleporting. :ohlawd:These are all good things imo.
Just seems like an evolution in turn based combat to me.

If the gameplay is onpoint with the demo next year im gonna be eating fukk all that other shyt. i just didnt like ff13 because they split up the whole damned group in the begining i died so much without having heavy hitters on my team in the begining. all that grinding felt like a fukking waste... the monstersw was way OP...

They still want to walk around the map until they get a "woooooosh" sound and enter a random battle.:pachaha:
They should make games like that as psn arcarde titles. Let their up and coming teams make those type of games to graduate to bigger projects.

Hajime Tabata wants to make Final Fantasy XV "more casual, one button action"

"Another example is in the combat," explains Tabata. "With the hardware specifications of the newer consoles, it's possible to set it up so you have different enemies and different choices of attacks you can enter in, but I want to simplify that. It'll basically be a one-button action, and the AI intuitively outputs an action that kind of satisfies, gives you that instant gratification, and it connects with the simple touch of a button. I myself am not getting any younger. I don't want to be frantically pushing buttons. I also want to utilise the intelligence of the hardware spec, and not have to go through too much hassle or trouble in order to execute moves."

Bunch of :flabbynsick: in here wanting the same blue menus and atb meters from 1995 :heh:
If they wanted to do a different genre, then it should be its own thing and not pretend to call it FF.
And turn-based gameplay has its benefits such as deeper strategy and having full control over your team. You're not getting the same amount of strategy or control in XV, making it a step backwards.

And it's funny you bring up Larry since after reading the article I've linked, its the XV director that's looking more :flabbynsick: than anyone else. Enjoy his "game" I guess.

Not necessary. See Chrono Trigger.

Nobody gives a fukk about how old this fool is. :beli: Just make a great game.

I guess that's what this is.

There's always a huge gap between what your character can do in cutscene, and what he can do during gameplay. Seems they'd trying to bridge that gap. It's unique and I don't think a game has tried this before.

Can't we just be glad that we're actually getting some sort of info about this game? Not long ago we all thought it was dead and that we were gonna be fed more Lightning. Now we got footage, an idea on how it will play, a playable demo coming in March and a likelihood of the late 2015/early 2016 release.

Im just glad the game fukking exist brehs, im just glad it's alive.:to:

Something I wish The Last Guardian was.:mjcry:

:sadbron::sadbron::sadbron::sadbron::sadbron:

On topic tho, can't they make it similar to ff type 0? that shyt looked pretty good. Tho :pacspit: at tabata saying he's too old for doing combos and shyt.
