This seems like the most logical approach since BBB clearly wasn't ready to capitalize of Lonzo's popularity at that point. It would've had to have been a multi-year deal, but they coulda leveraged Lonzo's signing towards LaVar getting a closer at the shoe/apparel business so that when the deal was up they'd be ready to hit the ground running with BBB.

This is the annoying thing about what he is doing. I think there is a great niche market there for a FUBU-like idea. Athletic wear designed and worn by the athletes themselves. They could slowly acquire more athletes to represent the brand but other athletes would already wear it for free because they like it. A lot of people would love to ditch the corporate brands for something like this.

But they are priced out of the market and they're pushing shyt that real ballers wouldn't fukk with. It is clearly designed by a dude in his 50's who wants to dress like a carefree high schooler.

Marketing is a lot more than tricking a few idiots into buying overpriced garbage.
