Sohh is it safe to say Draymond Green will not be getting a max?

He may not get a Max but I easily see the Pistons offering him just under the max forcing the Warriors to either match or lose him for nothing and he's too important to them for that.

nikkas in here calling him a max player :heh: goddamn you nikkas are idiots

There is a difference between a max player and a dude getting a max contract because he's a Restricted Free agent and the Leagues salary cap will go up the next few seasons over 30-40 mill giving every team cap space damn near so these teams will need to spend money this offseason while there cap space is useful.

Yeah but by who??

Who is going to step in and give you that production :what:

It can be done but guys like Tristan are hard to find.
It's not as hard as you think and it might not be a 100% replacement

But you fireplace 80% of his production for 50% less money

The problem is that yes you are right you should be able to find a guy that can replicate Tristan's production conceiveably but a lot of what he is doin is heart and desire. A lot of guys don't want to play that way and do the dirty work. It will be hard to find someone to replace him I'm tellin you.

Someone who actually understands...

nikkas need to understand that max player =/= superstar. It's about market value. And that's there different levels to max deals.

A Draymond max is not the same as a max for someone like Bosh, Aldridge, Dwight, etc. His max is like $15-16 mil a year and in the current landscape that would be an overpay, but after 2016 the cap is gonna jump significantly and thus player's contracts will be higher.

I really thought Draymond would make an impact in this series. Not by hitting threes, passing, or rebounding but as a defensive pest making all the hustle plays with heart and energy. What Delly is giving the cavs for 40 mins is what I expected from Draymond in big spots late in games to swing energy/momentum.

Then wtf has he been doing all year? :dahell:
He was a below avg 3point shooter during the year, and that was when it was easy going and free flowing during the reg season. Now in the playoffs he has to bang night in and night out with guys bigger and stronger than he is. That's taking his legs away for those 3s. Since he has no midrange game he's forced to stand behind the line launching 3s or make weak drives to the hoop tryna force a pass or hoping to get bailed out by the refs. Now if he had a consistent midrange jumper like say a Charles Oakley:mjlol: he and GS would be better off.

Then we'd be stuck with a step down from Greg Monroe
