and i thought ppl were lying about her not saying shyt, but she really WASN'T saying anything. and she had weakass playboi carti on a track.

the production was hi quality but didn't hold this project up

For those of yal really fukking with this project, did you watch the visual for it BEFORE listening to it?

I didn't know there was a visual, so I just threw this album on my headphones while I was cleaning up around the house over the weekend and it was ideal background music. I'm sure it would have connected more if I saw the video for it initially, but I didn't, so off of 2 listens, it's just ok to me

I haven't watched any visual. Didn't know one was out. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I dunno the criticism over it being something to kick back vibe with. I mean that's the whole POINT when listening to music. It's not supposed to be dissected and analyzed. It's supposed to be played to enjoy and vibe with, put you in certain moods and feelings while listening to it. Even if it's something to put on the background, if it's put you in a feel and atmosphere, then it accomplished the job. I rocks with this heavy, do not need some music video to convince me to like it or not.

Being that I used to live in Texas and my fam currently lives in Houston I caught it off the jump. The entire album is a love letter to Houston, hence the album title.

solange continues to be praised for releasing weak demo albums that sound like cute ideas this is her 3rd straight demo sounding album that sounds unfinished that will get praised it is terrible and needs to be stopped

I have no idea where shes trying to go with this especially with the lyrics. Production is lackluster. Almost every song you feel anxiety like bytch start singing already

Whole album sounds like tracks that didn't make the cut for Love Jones



Binz is the only song that feels coherent and its too short like a interlude

I fukk with a vibe music but the vibe in this shyt is flatlined.

Makes A LOT more sense now and I’ll tone down my critsicm of it since there was some intentionality behind her approach ... still think she’s trying to ride the Vibe wave but it appears purposeful and and not entirely lazy creatively so, yeah, I’m gonna reign in my criticism .
