I think a lot of these cats go to Europe because the situation is so desperate at home (see all these east africans who die in the middle of the sea trying to reach italy or spain) and I don't think Russia is permanent. Ultimately the final destination for them is the UK or France. Plus back in the day, a lot of Africans used to go there to study and come back so I guess they are trying to carry on that legacy.

Why in sane hell would any logical black person move to Russia or any Eastern European country? To be honest I don't feel bad for these people.
I partially agree but why don't black people treat whites the same in their countries? They are not met with hostility on the same level and yet they exploit and plunder more than any African immigrant

that’s because we are filed with ignorance, most of us aren't exposed to that kind of life, we tend to think that life is greener on the other side (because of what is depicted in movies) but its not always the case unless you have something set up abroad (like education or official work) otherwise you end up struggling just trying to meet your basic needs. It's only a few that get to make it but the rest end up working so much and end up saving very little.
i also think that if the public and private sectors in Africa stick to the globalization trend and implement more anti-corruption measures, then the environment will be suitable for just about anyone who is thinking about returning and doing something useful.
Africa has made tremendous efforts in the past decade to try and catch up with the rest of the world. Although, we are still not up to par, change is coming and its coming at a very fast pace.

Other African nations are not free of xenophobia brehs, SA has had quite violent episodes of massive xenophobia (meaning, people were killed) a couple of years ago, and in general it's not like other Africans are welcomed there with open arms. Same has happened in some other countries to a certain degree.
Information breh. Western people assume that everybody has the same access to info today, which is a myth. I still have people in Central African Republic TODAY who think that you just have to set foot in France to be set for life.
The saddest for me is that these people pay a lot of money to be able to leave Africa (I've heard that some "illegal" immigrants pay up to 10000 euros to cross the Sahara and the Med sea), I just keep thinking of how that money could be invested home...

everybody has to do their part especially the leadership. Leadership has to create an environment where people feel hopeful and can contribute because the potential is there it is a young continent and there isn't abetter groups of entrepreneurs than Africans during their daily lives. You are dealing with people who sometimes when they wake up don't know whether they are going to eat that day and make it happen whether it's the ladies selling fruits on the side of the road or a boy as young as 8 years old selling water on the side of the street.
