A lot of Africans migrate to other African countries already, mostly to flee from wars and conflicts (and trying to go back to their home countries when it gets better). It's not like they're will be a shyt ton of possibilities in other African countries or said countries are prepared or willing to take in thousands of migrants (if not more) or that shyt will be better in those countries :manny:

Tanzania just granted citizenship to 200,000 Burundi who are residing in the country

It depends on the sort of opportunities you speak about, you see, the $10,000 that the gentleman a few posts before ours was describing is worth so much more in the long run, other things being constant plus you wouldn't have to worry about white people cock blocking (no pun intended) you at every job interview

Well, stuff like this can fortunately happen, but isn't really the norm tbh :manny:

can you please rephrase your post, i can't comprehend what you mean

in addition to what i just posted, the only way I see us being behind apart from infrastructure and other things, is education, there is a HUGE problem in that area which needs to be seriously addressed and if we don't do anything about that then we will end up having generations of uneducated people roaming around and working in informal labor sectors

I meant that it's good that Tanzania provided those refugees/migrants with citizenships, but it's not like this stuff is really common. There's still a lot of xenophobia, and problems migrants still face. It's not always shiny :manny:

Yes most definitely, there are a number of problems yes, many of which might take decades to end but if we continue to promote good education, gender equality, and less greed at the top of the crop then we will be making a step towards the right direction

one of the biggest scandals going on right now in Tanzania states that over $250 million of tax payers money from European nations is no where to be seen (most likely ended up in someones bank account offshores) and then on top of that you have children who don't even have school supplies, desks or books, much rather university students fail to enroll in schools every year because there's not enough financial aid

that's what happens when you keep re-electing crooks to run your country....its filthy

That's what I'm saying. There are possibilities to succeed and make bank in Africa, but its not like they're available to everyone, and especially not to migrants/refugess, for the most part.

It is pretty sad people are willing to risk their lives or all of what they have to go to countries they won't even feel welcomed in :manny:

It has probably already been said in this thread but why would africans choose Russia of all places to move to? US, UK, Canada, Scandinavia...the list goes on. Why Russia?

Developed countries are reluctant to grant visitor's visas to citizens from under developed countries with the fear that they are not going to leave the country once they get to the US UK Canada or Scandinivia especially in these times where immigration is seen as the scapegoat of all social ills. If those countries that you mention were easy on giving visitor's visas then most Africans would leave Africa and head to Europe it's not that easy to get a visitor's visa to the best developed countries in the world. The embassies are stingy in granting those visitor's visas and make sure that you fit the profile of someone who is going to return to his or her country once he/she arrives in the developed country
