Some burning questions for those who've played both the X1 & PS4

2.) More powerful system you guys keep saying. But you must be 16yrs old, and this is your first time around a consoles launch. You see, it takes time, maybe years to learn how these systems work.
the PS3 took 3yrs to catch up to the Xbox 360 in graphics. The XB1 has already closed that "gap" and its expected to surpass the PS4 eventually once they figure it ALL out. Instead of going NOOOOOOO why don't you do some research yourself on this issue. I'm not denying the PS4 at launch is more powerful. You are denying that the Xbox will gain ground. Bottom line microsoft had all that time for R&D and came out the gate ill equipped and is failing i mean come on let's look at all the problems with titanfall looking haggard and cant even run at full speed unlike PC. Your talking about catching up. The PS4 has no games and yet the demand is ridiculously high for it, no one wants an xbox one! Gain ground? They had all the ground they could have ever needed with the xbox 360 and they destroyed it themselves! They ruined it themselves! no backwards compatibility, first and foremost when GTA5 just dropped right when xbox got released. Which would have made more sense to pump the budget into a workaround WHICH THEY COULD HAVE DONE BUT WAS SO DAMN LAZY TO DO SO! DRM/no used games bullshyt. Failure. No trading games, no lending games, Focused on Cable, MANDATORY KINECT! NO UNPLUGGING IT EITHER! their message was clear and fukked up. They shot themselves in the fukking heart and still proclaiming to be the greatest. when people clearly can see the ps4 has stronger capabilities as is! the games are coming im not worried and i aint sweating it.

Like i said there's not a game that's making me as a consumer want a xbox one. Your list was kinda pathetic.

I have all 4 minus the Wii u

Graphic jump from 360 to ps4/xboxone version of Battlefield 4 is beautiful (granted I'm not a PC gamer)

Ps4 seems to be the new lead console so I get all multiplats on that

Xbox One is cool BUT it always feels like it's not complete. The 360 is still the better gamer experience between the two, it took months for basic expected features to be there. I only used kinnect twice intentionally (yeah it logs me in but, I end up doing it myself on the times it does not recognize me, but maybe that's cause I have a hat or jacket on) not a lot of arcade games. I played dead rising 3 and killer instinct. Dead rising 3 is intense but that series was never for me. Killer Instinct is cool, but I hated it on N64, I'm more of a capcom/snk fighter fan
Controller is... Well the same, maybe smaller, better thumb sticks. Titanfall, the flagship title, while lots of fun seems to have been rushed out and won't feel complete until more game modes are patched in or the frame rate/screen tearing is fixed

PS4 - huge improvement from the ps3 in my own opinion. Way better and Larger controller (as my friends say, it's man size) the whole operating system is very welcoming, download and install speeds much faster than the Xbox one (where last gen it was the other way around)
One hit of a button and I can upload 15 minutes of footage to my Facebook. Plus the game's I get from Ps plus, are more enjoyable than the big budget exclusives on the other system. I like Warfare, I like war thunder, I like that I got to play the final Fantasy MMO demo, I like DC universe since it's free to play now. I found pinball games I haven't played since I was 17 I use to dump tons of money into. To me that's fun, I enjoy that, some people don't to each their own. I'm looking forward to planet side 2, destiny, the division, I mean I know they're not exclusives, but it's just the over all better community experience for me

Best game on the Xbox one, fun wise is still Max and plants vs Zombies garden warfare
Best games on ps4 to me is inFamous and Battlefield 4.

Exclusive is just a.... Term to me, it's not a pissing contest it's the enjoyment factor to me

The "power difference" is well overblown. From the start the same devs that said the ps4 was more powerful also said that X1 will be able to catch up and compete. There already isn't much difference in the games. That difference wil shrink as it ALWAYS has. Don't know why people choose to ignore or deny this fact.

Right.to me it comes down to if you like playstation or Xbox exclusives more and what system is more active with people you like to game with...

I'm one of the ones that made the switch from 360 to ps4

The reason being because of Microsoft BS former (and some current) policies. Also, during the second half of the 360 gen, I was very let down as far as exclusives go

I play my homies XB1 often and here's what I think

On the xb1, I've played TitanFall and Killer Instinct
Graphically, these games didn't impress me (KI did slightly) but the fun factor in both outweighs it to the point you forget about graphics (but that's one of the points of going next gen tho)
I REALLY wish KI was on ps4 or 360 (fighting game head) but oh well, just something I'll miss out on
TitanFall looks (didn't say play) like something that can be pulled off on the 360 at 30fps and you'll get just about the same game
The user interface is nice, and so is the cable integration, but I cut cable a while ago so that wasn't a selling point for me
(Note: I didn't play the games that are praised graphically like Ryse and Forza)
Oh, and the Kinect was rarely used except for voice commands, which it didn't respond very well to.


As far as the ps4 goes
Let me get one thing out in the air, coming from 360 to ps4, I fukking hate the user interface, hopefully it gets updated soon
The first game I bought was battlefield 4 (battlefield 3 head also) and I immediately noticed the difference going from bf3 in the 360 to bf4 on the ps4. Its like night and day. The graphics, textures, destruction, lighting, frame rate, etc was all on point. I really felt like I was playing a next gen game.
I bought Outlast because I love horror games. Graphically it didn't impress me, but was very fun to play and beat.
Next game I bought was Infamous. This game truly felt next gen as far as graphics go also. Everything from the powers and environment is fukking beautiful. I beat the good side already, going to play evil this weekend. As far as gameplay goes, its nothing you haven't done in GTA or prototype. Graphics 9/10 Gameplay 8/10
The controller on the ps4 does more than the xb1
As I stated in another thread, I don't regret making the switch one bit.



So, from my experience:

XB1
pros:
-Loved the UI (dashboard)
-The cable integration is a nice feature
-Games were fun
-Felt right at home with the controller
-More exclusives atm

cons:
-graphically, wasn't very impressed with the games I played
-Bullshyt policies (currently the online check in )
-Kinect is pretty much the same as last gen, plus you have to have one (ugh)
-more expensive
-Least powerful of the two


PS4
pros:
-the games I played felt next gen
-the controller feels next gen and innovative
-More powerful of the two
-Least expensive of the two
-The camera is optional :D
-free games monthly with ps+

Cons:
-The UI (dashboard) is shyt
-Marketplace feels better than PSN in my opinion
-Had to jump through loops to get onto PSN and get cash onto there (used a Paypal workaround)

I feel that both are next gen in their own way. The xb1 is definitely next gen as a entertainment system as a whole. Ps4 feels next gen as far as gaming goes. Depends on what you want. And I'm sure I would have got the same feeling from bf4 on the xb1 if I would have played it there first.

1. yes, you can tell a difference from last gen to this gen...the best way to describe it would be look at the cut scenes on games from last gen...you notice how the cut scenes look better than the actual game? well, this gen, game's actual play looks like those cut scenes

2. yes, the ps4 looks better, and yes, you can tell, but both look good, so you not gonna notice/care...

3. as of right now:

ps4 - more game focused...better sp games...
xbox - better non game features....better mp games....

...answer these 3 easy questions to help you decide:

1 - what system do most of your friends own?
2 - what type of game do you enjoy more: sp focused or mp focused? if it's sp, go ps4; if it's mp, go xbox 1
3 - do you care more about gaming or non gaming?...as the gen goes on, gaming wise, ps4 will have the edge; non gaming wise, xbox 1 will have the edge...

...the best thing to do is try both systems yourself and see what you like/dislike about both...also, e3 is right around the corner, so unless you in a rush, i'd say wait till then...cause both companies are gonna be putting on a hell of a show, so that might help you make a decision...whatever you choose, congrats and enjoy some of this damn good gaming...

Because 2K14 is probably the most "next gen" out of all the multiplat games thats why. You are focusing on a list of exclusives that no one cares or heard about. I told OP don't worry about the exclusives right now. imo, 2K14 is at the top of the multiplat games right now like Arkham Knight, MGS, etc will be this year. no reason to think 2k15 won't be this year also. I noticed that you still didn't address any other games on the list like MGS, Arkham Knight performing better on the PS4 because you know they will. I'm sure your reply will link me to more nonsense not related to my post and you will call me names to try to draw me into your holy war of X1 vs. PS4 that i will NEVER participate in. OP asked for a non bias opinion but you still couldn't help yourself...

I don't like this line of reasoning one bit because it insinuates that the PS4 is tapped out AND it's dev tools will stagnate and there's nothing else left to do with it and that the Xbox one will at the same time, get better dev tools to reach some sort of parity with the PS4. It's silly. It's wrong to boldly claim this as a fact because it is faulty reasoning. Yes things may improve for Xbox One but things will also improve for PS4. This logic also ignores the hardware aspects of the consoles. You can't expect tools to lower the power gap between two static hardware, that's like saying the Wii U can close the power gap between the Xbox one as long as they improve their dev tools.

Also devs will not come out and exclaim one version of their game to be inferior to the other; they're in the business to sell games on all platforms. As far as there not being a big difference in games, maybe if you only own console then the difference is not enough to warrant buying another console to play a multiplat but for cats who own both systems, it's a no brainer to get most games on PS4 except for cases where one simply prefers to play on Xbox for w/e reason. It's like when I had a 360 and PS3, I actually preferred to play some games on PS3 over their 360 counterpart because I just liked using the PS3 more.
