That's nothing new breh. In most (sub)cultures throughout human history, sex and marriage had little-to-nothing to do with love and many had no concept of romance, due to some simple facts like:
1) In many cultures, marriages are forced/arranged. Romance can't exist in those conditions.
2) You don't need romantic feelings to be sexually attracted to someone, smash and reproduce.
