You joking right, Zeke can D it up and was known for hand checking, smothering defense on the rotation and led the league in steals 4x
Getting steals does not make you an elite defender, Isiah Thomas was never an All-Defensive team guy, and he would never be tasked with guarding a guy like LeBron he's 180 lb. dog.

Zeke is strong as fukk first of all, and was great playing team and one on one defense and many of his steals was playing Straight up one on one, he guarded Magic Johnson a few times and Jordan. Zeke is no pushover. Derek Harper is known as a great defender with the Knicks and he wasn't All Defense either he got those accolades with The Maverick

and what it does to your game.
:jbhmm:

i mean ya'll must be young as hell or hoop against bunch of pusssies. :patrice:

it changes your direction. it totally ruins what you gonna do. pusssies won't last cuz dudes will be all over you. your jumpers will be off. it's hard to drive to the hoop.

i hoop with bunch of late 30's to 40's brehs in rec league. they still play like how it was played then. and these nikkas strong as fuk. they will lean on you. they will do everything except an obvious foul to get physical. and it really messes you up.

AND LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT
hand-check is more than just having hands on you.

you go watch what the glove did to Jordan in the finals. that nikka stuck to GOAT like a glue. if he did that in today's game he would get fouled out in 5 min.

and you bron stans have no clue. seriously :mjlol:
you nikkas think bron is just too big so the handcheck woudln't matter? :mindblown:

guess who bothered MJ the most? smaller guys - glove and dumars. what do they have in common?

THESE NIKKAS CAN GET INSIDE YOU AND STICK LIKE A GLUE CUZ THEY CAN FIT INSIDE YOU.

IT'S NEVER ABOUT THE SIZE. dennis rodman routinely bothers nikkas much bigger than himself.

these nikkas can get low to the ground. their job isn't to block your shot. they ain't gonna stop you from jumping over you. but they can get into your head. and they also can messes up your FOOTWORK by getting low and stick to you and be there with you wherever you go.

imagine somebody who's fast and agile enough to mirror bron everywhere he goes and he get to basically rub his balls on bron's big asss thigh. wouldn't that messes up his game a little?

HOW DID BRON LOSE FINALS? did he magically disappear? no. all it takes is a little bit of off game from him and then all of sudden you are on a losing side of the basketball.

LOOK I'M BEING HONEST. NOBODY CAN STOP BRON. BUT SOMEBODY CAN SLOW HIM DOWN IF THE RULE WAS ALLOWED FOR BREHS TO PLAY PHYSICAL HAND CHECK DEFENSE.

AND DEFENSE AIN'T ABOUT TALENT BACK THEN AND NOW. IT'S ABOUT BREHS WANTING TO GET NASTY.

we know nobody can stop bron. bron is great. but there's a way can a great defender can slow him down and throw his game off.

IT'S A FACT BRON NEVER FACED TYPE OF TENACIOUS DEFENSE MJ HAD TO FACE EVERY DAMN NIGHT.

ask karl how rodman threw him off guard

Mj ain't deal with zone Defense. Lebron is pretty much triple teamed when he drives..back in mia day if you don't defend a nikka it's a tech.

These days you can float in a area waiting to double.

Hubie Brown On Why The Modern NBA Is Easier | Mike And Mike

Have experts like hubie break down how handchecking was effective yet these youngins think they know more than hubie brown:mjlol:

Almost forgot:

MJ=GOAT
amazing how you posted this and nikkas STILL came in here to argue that shyt would be exactly the same :francis:

i just can't understand how these nikkas don't have nba jobs with their wealth of knowledge and understanding of the game

@ISO already dropped game for y'all rockbrains, but lemme add on -

Again, you're jumping to more conclusions I never made. When you're allowed to be more physical on defense it's ALWAYS going to affect an offensive player's and team's ability to generate points. The problem with it being overrated is that generally dudes don't know what the fukk they're talking about when it comes to handchecking and get different rule systems, enforcement and time periods mixed up:

1978/79:

Clarification added to prohibit hand-checking through “rigid enforcement” of rule allowing a defensive player to retain contact with his opponent so long as he does not impede his opponent’s progress.

Proper handchecking was basically outlawed by 1980. You could no longer use your hand to impede a player's progress. Basically, real handchecking wasn't in existence by the time Jordan came into the league. The amount of contact you see on ball-handlers today (especially the playoffs) is basically the same as it was when Jordan was in the league. This isn't even mentioning that from about Jordan's third season he was getting "superstar" calls. Not only was he not dealing with real handchecking but he was getting calls that the regular player wasn't getting. I've got a ton of tape back in my parents' crib where dudes like Snapper Jones said regularly through the early/mid '80s that defenses weren't what they used to be in the 70s when you could handcheck.

All this shyt about about Jordan being able to average 50 and score 100 in this era because there's no handchecking is complete nonsense, because Jordan never had to deal with REAL handchecking in the first place.

That's WHY handchecking is overrated and overstated

Handchecking still goes on today, a handcheck can be called on almost every play. Curry is one of the most handchecked players of All-Time.
100% fact.

Not only that but he receives more defensive attention than any other player in the modern era. The fact he has to deal with 2-3+ defenders in his vicinity (either riding his hip or suffocating his immediate floor space in the halfcourt) AND gets mugged with/without the ball as much as he does, and STILL has GOAT-level offensive impact is quite mind-boggling. And yet dudes still can't appreciate how historically great he is.

Payton was 4 inches shorter and 70-90 pounds smaller too :mjlol:. That #### would be like watching Shaq and Dikembe in the 2001 finals :scust:

it ain't about the size of the dog in a fight. it's about the size of the fight in the dog.

we all know nobody can really stop bron. only bron can stop bron. BUT....

LET ME SPELL THIS OUT FOR YOU. GET ENLIGHTENED BREH

1. there's a way to slow bron down offensively. HOW?
:jbhmm:

2. MAKE HIM PASSIVE. THAT'S HOW.
:whoo:

3, WHY? Bron is a very good offensive player, but he ain't a dominant offensive score. offensively he doesn't have MJ/KOBE mentality where they just shoot and shoot till make one.

:sas1:

4. EVERY TEAM'S GOAL IS TO MAKE BRON THINK AND BE PASSIVE ON OFFENSE. LET OTHERS BEAT YOU.

:obama:

5. WHY? CUZ YOU AIN'T BEATING BRON'S TEAM IF BRON IS DROPPING 40 ESPECIALLY ON THIS LOADED TEAM WITH SHOOTERS EVERYWHERE.
:damn:

6. So let's see. Bron is at his best when he is doing everything - shooting, passing, playing defense and etc. BUT BRON ISN'T AS EFFECTIVE WHEN HE ISN'T SCORING. let him just do 2 out of 3 things he can be great at.

:win:

7. Ok, so let me recap - SO HOW DA HELL YOU SLOW HIM DOWN AGAIN? GET PHYSICAL. HAND CHECK DA SHIIIT OUT OF HIM. AND THAT'S WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED IN THE HAND CHECK ERA. DEFENDERS WILL GET NASTY WITH HIM. THEY WON'T MAKE HIM FEEL COMFORTABLE. THEY WON'T GIVE HIM ANY ROOM TO WORK WITH. THEY WILL PUSH AND SHOVE AS MUCH THEY CAN. THEY WILL TRY TO MESS UP HIS JUMPERS.

BRON CAN BE NEUTRALIZED IF YOU GET PHYSICAL WITH HIM. Can he be stopped for 48 min. No. he's too big and too talented. BUT
Bron is a type of player who won't force the issue.

BRON DOESNT FORCE THINGS!

:noah:

NO FORCE JOSE~ NIKKA SO BETA

10. ENLIGHTENED BREH? MAKE BRON A DISTRIBUTING BRON. DON'T MAKE BRON A SCORING BRON. cuz Bron is at his best when he does everything well on the court.

i ain't hating on bron, but he is a front runner. he got no MJ/kobe will power. he also has a belief that he can still be dominant by just being the distributor bron - which is true, but i would take my chance and make him be passive rather than active on O. his gift is also his curse.

AND THAT'S WHY HAND CHECK ERA WOULD'VE SLOWED HIM DOWN ALOT. AND THAT'S HOW YOU BEAT BRON. DON'T MAKE HIM GO BERSERK LIKE WARRIORS DID.

True. Penny used to destroy Pippen as well.

So you're saying Jordan and Rodman would give Lebron problems though :leon:

not sure if serious breh. some nights nikkas will get hot no matter what.

mashburn and pippen head to head
Scottie Pippen vs. Jamal Mashburn | Basketball-Reference.com

pippen held mashburn .405fg in their head to head.

:yeshrug:

anyway in 7 game series all you are hoping for 2-3 lousy games from a opposing superstar. nobody is stopping bron all 7 games. you just want him to be really off for few nights. and

and that's the difference between a chip and a fish.
