Any city I visit, you'll see me rocking something associated with Baltimore; and I do this solely to let them know that I'm from Baltimore. True, but I think it varies depending on where you grew up. I grew up in Northeast Baltimore, One block away from Morgan State University, and most of us have a milder version of the accent. Snoop grew up Down the Hill, where the accent is much heavier.
