People can't define the Baltimore accent, so they default to southern, yet the can't find a southern accent that resembles a Baltimore accent. ..

Bmore, DC, and Philly all have variations of the colonial tidewater accent. It's how people talked long ago.
The DC one is a bit more refined with traces of NC low country.
Philly has jersey dutch, some Appalachian (hard R/no R depending on the word)
and Bmore has a bit of Welsh in it (how y'all pronounce O)
All 3 have tew yew dew, bmore has the most exaggerated version, since it's a port city with low migration.

I always felt the baltimore accent was a mix between A new york and down south accent

I always ask people at work from Baltimore to say "do"


The pittsburgh accent is even more funny they sound like a mix between a country accent and and Australian
