Arrange marriages only fail in the western world.

it has a massive success rate but of course if you know you would be stoned to death will you divorce your husband?

My friend's parents are in an arranged marriage, it seems to work for them. But they got lucky. I wouldn't want to be in one. What if you got paired up with an abusive psycho? :/

That happens in marriages of choice too. Pretty much every negative you can list for arranged marriages can apply to marriages of choice. People make horrible choices and use piss poor reasoning to get married all the time.

Love is the dumbest reason to marry somebody. That shyt is wears off.

That's why we got so many divorces and single mothers out here.

The Black community could benefit from a type of arranged marriage system in our culture. Let the community have some input into mate selection.

Apparently, letting nikkas choose bytches to wife up and letting bytches choose fathers ain't working for us.

The results speak for themselves.

From what I understand back then there was a courting process in most of black community. It was simply the boy or man would come to the girl's house and they would simply ask questions that revolved around one thing "what are your intentions towards my daughter?" and to get to know him obviously. I don't think there's anything wrong with people deciding who they want to marry but people need to understand what glitters isn't always gold. And if you come from a family that loves you, they're not gonna send down a rocky road.

So he won because he married a woman that "looked" good? :leon:

I agree. That's basically what happens in Indian arranged marriages. Families get to know one another. They do the research for the bride and groom.

peace brother, you make some interesting points,

I would disagree with this statement, I think love is one of the better reasons to marry somebody if it's genuine. So I don't think it is the LOVE that fades but it's the ATTRACTION that goes away, because you can love somebody but not be attracted to them, that's the difference between the way you feel about your close friends or family member and the way you feel about your wife or girlfriend, It's all about maintaining ATTRACTION. I think the problem in are community isn't marriage, but it's people creating all these babies when they know they can't afford them. Having kids is very expensive and time consuming, also it doesn't help that the government is rewarding women with houses, food money, and medical for having kids. So the government takes the place of the man and that's why some men feel like they don't need to bother helping the women raise the kids. But yea man, we need to stop bringing all these kids into the world when we can't afford it.

Yeah, breh. But, you really never know if it's genuine love until you've been with the person for a long time. Like really building with them over time. That's where that true love kicks in.

You don't develop that shyt over the course of 1 year, 2 years or even 5 years. But I agree with your other point. People need to stop have all these damn children they can't afford. shyt is crazy.

Wherever whores go.....
In most arranged marriage countries, they have evolved with the times
You meet multiple people sometimes and both pick each other. And given time to know each other.
If its in different countries you skype and what not over months
If things click then you go ahead with the marriage part

Works better than empty relationships over years and years. :ehh:

How many Coli brehs would enter an arranged marriage? Most of y'all hype up its success I'd bet none of you would allow your parents to choose your wife. :sas1:
