My friend's parents are in an arranged marriage, it seems to work for them. But they got lucky. I wouldn't want to be in one. What if you got paired up with an abusive psycho? :/
6% global divorce rate for them, and a 1% rate in India, those shyts are a smashing success![]()

From what I understand back then there was a courting process in most of black community. It was simply the boy or man would come to the girl's house and they would simply ask questions that revolved around one thing "what are your intentions towards my daughter?" and to get to know him obviously. I don't think there's anything wrong with people deciding who they want to marry but people need to understand what glitters isn't always gold. And if you come from a family that loves you, they're not gonna send down a rocky road.Love is the dumbest reason to marry somebody. That shyt is wears off.
That's why we got so many divorces and single mothers out here.
The Black community could benefit from a type of arranged marriage system in our culture. Let the community have some input into mate selection.
Apparently, letting nikkas choose bytches to wife up and letting bytches choose fathers ain't working for us.
The results speak for themselves.

peace brother, you make some interesting points,![]()
I would disagree with this statement, I think love is one of the better reasons to marry somebody if it's genuine. So I don't think it is the LOVE that fades but it's the ATTRACTION that goes away, because you can love somebody but not be attracted to them, that's the difference between the way you feel about your close friends or family member and the way you feel about your wife or girlfriend, It's all about maintaining ATTRACTION. I think the problem in are community isn't marriage, but it's people creating all these babies when they know they can't afford them. Having kids is very expensive and time consuming, also it doesn't help that the government is rewarding women with houses, food money, and medical for having kids. So the government takes the place of the man and that's why some men feel like they don't need to bother helping the women raise the kids. But yea man, we need to stop bringing all these kids into the world when we can't afford it.
