Show me some high school rocking any of that high end fashion shyt in school

back in the day kids spent way more on clothes, there haven't been any fashion trends where people brought ENTIRE FITS like guess jean outfits, gucci velour suits, etc all the shyt celebrities where is given to them by the gay stylist it's not real clothes, nobody goes into a store and picks any of that shyt out

it's an old argument, old people make because they don't realize they are old, also in rap the materialism isn't anywhere near the bling era and puffy shiny suit era
Some other poster just mentioned his little brother and his friends all wearing designer in another post.

go watch the smash or pass face to face videos. If you ain’t got designer you ain’t got no “drip” to these teenagers and early 20s young adults.

Try a million. High end clothes weren't made for average people. It's what millionaires wear, because they are millionaires.. I made a million and don't splurge on that shyt. You can get the baddest bytches without Gucci, Prada, LV..
Ehh they are definitely targeting people below the millionaire bracket. Thats the whole reason behind them scooping up streetwear designers like dapper dan and virgil and collabing with the likes of supreme and northface and bape.

Its not for me though. I’m nowhere near a million and basically have to go over a long internal justification anytime I spend over $1000 on anything that’s not an investment. I could probably see a mill within 5 years if I keep my head on straight.

I may be forced to buy a whip soon though cause my 2014 camaro feels like its breaking down.

its a western mentality. everyone wants to keep up with the jones'; it's not exclusive to black people.

It’s not but the difference is other races can AFFORD to wear exclusively designer and luxury cars. The drippiest guy I know is an Asian dude but I also know he’s wealthy. I know a guy I went to HS with ranting about his Gucci collection on Facebook but still lives in the projects and fighting his bm about child support

It's definitely made for millionaires. 100k cars use to be for millionaires but now your average 9-5 workers are buying them on 7 year loans. The car is clearly not for them but they'll spend every last dollar to look rich.

You’re confusing price point with the target audience. Just because the price is high doesn’t mean its only meant for the rich.

Millionaires didn’t give a fukk about Virgil Abloh or Pyrex or Off White or anything he was apart of before he blew. The hypebeast kids walking around LA with designer hype brands from head to toe did.

Fashion today is targeted towards the group that people like Nigo and Pharell first cultivated. These are not millionaires. They’re hype beasts. Now you have millionaires wearing Supreme and claiming they’re hype beasts when this used to be an insult on NikeTalk.

They used to try the exclusitivity angle and many of them were knocking on bancruptcy's door because it turns out you actually need volume to survive and can't just jack up the MSRP. There was a time where a bunch of the high end designers felt too good to even put their stuff online and tried to force people to go into the boutiques where they could turn people away. Some felt they were too good for logo tees and logo belts.

Instagram and hype beast culture changed the entire blueprint. And that's mostly based off kids looking up to the Kanyes and Pharell's of the world.

Never angry just y'all lame as dudes come online with the sucker black energy. Y'all want to be militant blacks but "real" blacks at the same time. Y'all bipersonality blacks and that shyt annoying as fukk.
How can you be a "real" black without being somewhat militant. ?

There's a reason you can't use the n word in prison systems that have organized gangs.

Just :duck: all over the place.

fukk are you nggas talkin about? :mjlol:

All these young nggas today, gotta pair of designers in their closet. Everyone back in the day, did not have a pair of designers in the closet. Only nggas in the loop, were dressing to a certain level. At the least, ALL youth are wearing AFs, Jordans, Yeezys, etc. Even cacs can dress to an extent now. That wasn't the case back in the day. Everyone damn sure wasn't rockin Coogi, Iceberg, Avirex, Pelle, etc.

We can disqualify the ENTIRE south, because, they didn't get fresh til the internet age. :umad:

Tims (constructs, fields), Jordans, Air forces, Pippens, Barkley's, Foams, etc. were not staples back in the day. Again, there were fresh individuals, and a lot more dustys than today. All these young nggas are droppin a bag on Yeezys and designer shyt now, pump-fakin. It's just now, starting to fade out, cuz everyone, is running designer shyt into the ground. Too many have-nots having pieces. It's starting to lose its luster, which is why you're starting to see a lot of rappers, are going back to rocking plain ol sneaks or forces, again.

Only nggas wit no drip, feel like they need to drape the entire closet wit designer shyt. I'm not talking to ppl that really got the bag either, but where does it really end? Either you're fresh, or your not. Nggas are remedial. You get one pic on IG out that fit, then a ngga like me is gonna say....

"We seen that one already. What you got next. Hope you aint feelin yourself, cuz you saved for one outfit?" :umad:

Now your goofy ass is killin yourself, to keep up wit the Jones'. :sadcam:

I wear what I want and what look nice to me...cop quality but not trendy. I try not to get too caught up with labels tho

Go outside and you'll find the answer. Y'all cats on here are cartoonishly militant. Folks aren't like that offline in the majority of black circles

Yes now, I'm was talking about back then, are you retarded, the guess jean outfits were expensive has fukk
I was just using that as example, kids were wearing iceberg sweaters that cost like 700-1000 dollars in high school in the late 90s

All the jordans today thats popping is the old shyts from back then, none of the new jordans about shyt lmao

I can see who wasn't fly when they were young, trying to relive they youth lmao

and kids were wearing them in high school

Kids ain't coming to school like its a fashion show anymore, that shyt been over

none of these rappers dress fresh, they all look like bums

Mutahfucakz been wearing gucci, versace since the before the 80s, but the funny things there are no more street bands

everybody dress like hipster cacs and european fakkits
