I guess the idea is that he speaks the language of the voters that Trump did manage to pick of with populism but didn't support his racial rhetoric. I think how important that really is comes down to how big you think that demographic is and whether or not you think Ojeda is the right voice for that message. There is something to having a guy that says "I'm like you, I got played by Trump's false promises...here's the solutions the problems" but I've been on the fence about the dude because of those two factors I just mentioned.

On paper Democrats think he can corral voters who voted for Trump and got screwed over but what the Democrats don't realize is that Trump voters were voting in what Trump represents which is a return to white leadership and right wing ideology.
Thing is, the Dems need to only win back their voters who in 2012 voted for OBAMA and in 2018 voted to make the House blue and elect Governors in MI, PA, WI... the states they need to carry in 2020 to win outright 270 electoral votes..
