BullshytThey used to run the country as basically a military dictatorship. The country was inefficient...corrupt and broke. Erdogan curbed military power...oversaw a huge economic boom in Turkey in which millions benefited so they voted for him in back to back elections. The military want their position back.
But people in the West apparently do not like democracy and prefer a military dictatorship because the military are extreme secularists that ban hijabs in public institutions (which even Europeans do not do).
erdogan has been pushing harder and harder and people fed up with it.
Islamism is a cancer and it's time somewhere put an end to it.
