not moving the goalposts at all. name any company doing it before this weekend?

These companies were always afraid of the feelings of their cac consumers being hurt. They'd NEVER post #blacklivesmatter on their social media feeds or come out and say it matter of factly. Not wanting to offend their (cac's) feelings is the number 1 priority. You got foreign companies and governments finally calling out the bullshyt in this fukkin country with the way black people are treated but I don't see one ad, post, tv commercial from any of these American Companies openly and finally accepting what BLM was about. And the ones that matter won't because they still don't want to hurt the feelings of white 'Murica.

I agree with all of that but you are avoiding my question. I have already shown you that Microsoft has been supporting the Black community before this weekend. Where was the support from Sony?

and like I said, ALL major companies have minority initiatives. Not saying that Sony is some super progressive company for black people but to post that shyt is really putting yourself out there truly not giving a fukk about hurt cac feelings. For that, I'm still kinda shocked and surprised and salute it. But they aren't an American company either.

Corporate Voices Get Behind ‘Black Lives Matter’ Cause

shyts shifted. There’s enough people on this side of it that the corporations don’t need the racist cac dollar anymore.

Good shyt.

Funny though how all of these American Corporations were either quiet or some kumbaya shyt when Kaep was kneeling. Now he's vindicated and they lookin like wave riders to jump on the right side of history. Most of those execs you know disagreed with his stance.

It’s all about money. It always is.

White people across the country are finally coming to terms with what’s going on. It’s no longer in the shadows. A thing they don’t have to think about throughout their daily lives. It’s right in their face. When you got white lady pop stars out getting shot with rubber bullets, you know this shyt is real.

So for the corporations it’s a calculated decision. The culture is shifting and they gotta ride that wave or get left behind.

If all you want is for companies to put out #BlackLivesMatter statements on their Twitter with no other proof of them doing anything for the Black community, then yeah, Sony is ahead of Microsoft on this one.

I'm not going to dismiss the "minority initiatives" that Microsoft has publicly put out in the past as less important than recent tweets from Sony who have no public record of "minority initiatives."

it's not about dismissing what they've done. It's openly supporting for the world to see. That's the importance.

For me this tweet

“But actions always speak louder than words. And we’re working hard to make sure we at Sony are doing more than just stating we are allies.”

was more important. It’s easy to post that hashtag. I’m interested in the work they put in, and now that they’ve put this out there we all need to hold them accountable to follow up on their words.

It never made sense to me why these corporations were so afraid of offending and hurting some cacs' feelings over standing up for what is right. People who peddled that All Lives matter nonsense, deflected to talk about "black on black" crime (completely ignoring the fact that we goto jail when we commit crimes unlike the police who fukk up), etc. are the people that you're worried about offending? Man fukk dem crackaz.

Microsoft has been one of the only tech companies out there making an effort for years. They should get recognition for that. They been supporting black folks since before it was cool to do so.

While Sony was posting racist ass billboards and disallowing black people in their movies. Microsoft was actually supporting and cultivating black talent and ideas in the tech space. And putting black faces front and center on their products.

So while I welcome the shift, I don’t think we should forget how we got here.

Until recently the “generally decent”(and I use that term lightly:comeon:) white people, were on the all lives matter side, by default. Those were the customers they couldn’t afford to lose. Now those customers are on the other side of the equation.

It’s increasingly becoming Nasty cacs vs Everybody else in this country.

They on an island all by themselves. That’s why they are acting a fool as of late.

True indeed.

What's sad is the fact that actually coming out and saying BLM means more. It shouldn't but in a weird way, it does. I can think of all the owners of companies, even people I know in executive roles on a personal level, etc. who's outward actions show that may not be racist but they didn't believe in the message of BLM.

exactly. :salute:

Knew a couple of HR cats, excuse me CACS, who were weirdly very open on trying to get more minorities hired in the companies, but were openly All Lives Matter and Anti-Kaep. shyt had me super :mindblown:
