This is really not something worthy of concern. Different companies show different things on their schedule, not ours. We don't know their schedule. We can't determine if what we're seeing is late or if they're on or off schedule. Until there's an announcement stating the system is delayed or there is a major issue that me and the millions of other preordering customers should be aware of, I'm not worried.

I can agree with this to a point. But when we are expected to lay $400-$500 down for unproven technology, it's reasonable to expect to see the features working first.

but seriously,i don't know what you really mean by unproven technology, this is one of the safest new generations ever. at least last gen they were implementing blu-ray, which really was unproven tech.

That's just the thing. Kinect 2.0 has had extensive hands on demos. The public has had a chance to try it out and form an opinion on it well before release.

Any new piece of electronics is unproven. But ps4 specifically has some hardware/features that we have not seen working in anything before. They are selling the console on basis of having those features, so it makes sense that people planning to buy one at launch should want to see the features working.

With less than 3 months to release, isn't it a bit concerning that we have not seen a working ps4 unit yet, nor have we seen key features like remote play, game streaming/sharing,pseye functionality.

Sounds like sony's got a lot of work to do in a very short time.

I also won't be buying a next-gen console probably until the first price drop.

I'm not. Numbers are on my side and its a clear indicator that they showed enough to get millions to invest $400 for their system.

It's ok to say your a blind fanboy and you were buying it regardless of what they said, but quit acting like your making some informed decision.

It does not influence their decision. If the situation was reversed and Sony was the showing real functioning hardware at gamescom and Ms didn't they would have a field day saying this proves MS is having manufacturing problems etc.

I'm buying both right at launch, the problem is that you are making threads about nothing. Sony has shown enough

neither console is finished and Sony has convinced the majority that their console is the one to buy.
