That's a damn lie. Their reputation is one of the worst. They've gone through multiple class action lawsuits due to unreliable product. The ps3 has a bad failure rate even today.

Just because the failure rate of launch 360s was worse doesn't mean a 10% failure rate is excusable.

i dont believe these statistics

i know over a handful of people that are on their 2nd to 3rd xbox. knew one unlucky guy that had around 5 and played his current w/o casing and a fan blowing directly on it. that isn't just to say i think the stats are faulty just on the M$ side, because i've had a ps3 yellow light of death me, along with 2 other friends. so are we just unlucky people? M$ just shipping possible defective consoles to urban areas or something?
