I get what you saying, but nikka my daughter's $79 generic android tablet still can do shyt that ipad cant do. Believe me,I know. Just traded my 16gb ipad 2 to gamestop...with the additional 30% them nikkas gave me $343. Good investment though, apparently

Its only a couple of things that 79 dollar tablet can do that the ipad cant, and its just in software. Quality of apps and finish is miles ahead. Might not be able to access the filesystem but thats the only main issue i have with Apple.

Hell, for the things I do the file system access is the biggest issue. My Ipad was jailbroken, but it's way too much too have to go through everytime a new OS comes out. With file system access that generic tablet is a straight up computer (slow computer, yes). The Ipad still just a tablet

Flash, torrents, side loading, tethering (wireless and wired?), simply drag and drop any file to the file system, actual customization of the device (not that I really customize my android devices), no storage expansion (worst idea ever), backs up everything to itunes (what kinda shyt)....can probably keep going....Apple has the smoothest devices, best quality builds, and best marketing to sucker ppl in, but I don't think I know anybody that's switched from android to apple and was happy with the switch. I owned both for years and will never buy an Apple Product again

Flash, torrents = worthless on a tablet to me
Tethering- cellular ipad supports personal hotspot
Customization- dont really customize besides the background, sure most others do the same
Storage expansion- Even Google's own nexus devices are forgoing external cards to create a more stable filesystem in which all memory is accessible to install applications
Backup- Google devices also backup your app information, albeit in a different manner. It is also quite easy to disable this (very helpful)feature

I know too many people that made the switch and are happy mainly with the quality of the applications

I switched from android to apple and figured out that I like apple for computers and android for phone. But I'm trying to figure out who will make the best tablet for me windows, apple, android.

so transferring, extra storage, side loading...basically media management...itunes works just fine.
tethering can be done on iOS. customization has no practical use
